At 15.18 GMT today (Tuesday), text of minutes relating to a meeting with senior Frankfurt bankers was released by the Greek Finance Ministry. Complicated, but potentially sensational, the text  (my highlights +emphasis) includes this extract:

‘The Republic’s representative noted that Greece’s economic programme does not contemplate the availability of funds to make payments to private sector creditors that decline to participate in PSI. Finally, the Republic’s representative noted that if PSI is not successfully completed, the official sector will not finance Greece’s economic programme and Greece will need to restructure its debt (including guaranteed bonds governed by Greek law) on different terms that will not include co-financing, the delivery of EFSF notes, GDP-linked securities or the submission to English law…’

I look at this tree and see stories. Stories of how it became twisted and somewhat gnarled. A story of how it came to be where it sits in this picture, where did it come from, who planted it, how long has it been growing, what stories does it have to tell? Many stories I am sure. It looks old and well-worn so to speak. It is regal looking and beautiful.

Something very interesting is going on all over the Southeastern USA. It seems to be volcanic plumes or steam clouds that is occurring in dozens of places all over the south today. A few days back there were several known “extinct” volcanos steaming including the Crater of Diamonds in Arkansas. The issue is  about the new insurance act of the country from 2010 that states a director can not be at the same time a bank director and a director of a non-bank institution in this case insurance firm. I posted the article not only for the resignations but also to make the point that countries wake up to conflict of interest or possibilities to be fraudulent when having multiple positions.
