China’s bad debts could blow a $500 billion hole in bank balance sheets. That’s roughly how much extra equity the eleven biggest lenders might need if 10 percent of their loans went sour, according to a Breakingviews calculator. John Ward – Spin Crisis : Top Media Management Firm Warns Of Peak Bollocks By 2015 – 4 September 2013

JohnWWould you believe it? Probably not.

Leading London spin-doctor Jasper Hawes-Hitte yesterday warned the ongoing manipulation space of the “grave danger” that the global reservoir of bollocks would start to deplete “probably at some point in late May 2015″. The CEO of British firm Bellend Pottingshed warned his audience at the London Drivel Dynamics Conference about “the very real possibility that we will be facing a cobblers crisis unless fresh new minds come along and start coming up with new bollocks to replace the complete bollocks we’re peddling now. The load of old bollocks we’ve been feeding the proles is beginning to wear thin, and challenge our ability to credibly deny the grubby, crooked and generally tits-up nature of pretty much everything”. The other Draconians easily integrated into our community, many of them choosing Pleiadian mates. The war was over in our life and in our hearts.

Laura Bruno – Late Season Garden Recap – 4 September 2013

laura-of-the-rocksAll the gardening books I read keep mentioning “the importance of keeping a garden journal.” On and on, enough already! Part of me just will not start another journal. Then, I realized, I’ve been record keeping all year on this blog, sharing my discoveries, goofs and adventures with fellow and vicarious gardeners. Close enough. :)

As the seasons begin to turn, the air gets cooler and dews wetter. Sunflowers have drooped, and mums have arrived on the scene: Continue reading

TheAustralian – Troy Bramstron – What’s Labor Got To Lose? Strategists Say Admit Defeat To Save Seats – 4 September 2013

The Australian

SENIOR Labor strategists believe the party should acknowledge it has lost the election, in the hope it will spark a final 48-hour surge in support that could help stave off defeat in several tight marginal seats.

The strategic shift in message would run counter to Kevin Rudd’s claim he is the “comeback kid” and could win an unwinnable election, just as Paul Keating did in 1993.

Phys.org – New Groundbreaking Research May Expose New Aspects Of The Universe – 4 September 2013

Phys.org

No one knows for sure, but it is not unlikely that the universe is constructed in a completely different way than the usual theories and models of today predict. The most widely used model today cannot explain everything in the universe, and therefore there is a need to explore the parts of nature which the model cannot explain. This research field is called new physics, and it turns our understanding of the universe upside down. New research now makes the search for new physics easier.

“New is about searching for unknown not known from the current of the . Such phenomena are inherently very difficult to detect,” explains PhD student Matin Mojaza from CP3-Origins.
