Eclipses mean changes, good and bad up and down and everything in-between. Eclipses always escort in significant events– marriage, divorce, death, birth, career change. They strongly magnify everything and are living parenthesis forcing us to look at what we have turned our pretty heads away from.  The restraints of old in words and actions fall away like rusty shackles exposing new and tender skin. “All Yours Janet”: JPM Warns Fed About Using “Arguably Flawed Statistics” – 11 January 2014

InvestmentWatchThe December jobs report was an ugly mix of slowing employment growth and disappointing labor supply. JPMorgan’s Mike Feroli doesn’t mix his words in his brief report on today’s ugly jobs data. While other ‘economists’ proclaimed we should “ignore it” or blamed it on the weather, Feroli notes for example, “It’s hard to see how the weather — or anything else — was to blame for the 25,000 decrease in employment of accountants.” But it his comments for the Fed that are most concerning as he worries, “the forward guidance decision could be even more difficult than the tapering call… lowering the unemployment threshold further would be doubling down on predicating policy on an arguably flawed statistic.”

presstvUnder the guise of a “weather emergency,” nearly 40% of the US was put under 24-hour restriction, facing arrest for violation.

This may seem like a “minor thing.”  It wasn’t.  We will deal only with this in the very real light it should be seen in: an attack on civil liberties.  As for those within the military who have identified the recent “Arctic vortex” as a test of a United States Air Force weather management system due to come online in 2030, such a discussion would violate tenets of national security and have no place in the public sector.

Steve Lendman – Rich Congress, Poor America – 11 January 2014

StevelendmanThe Center for Responsive Politics (CRP) calls itself “the nation’s premier research group tracking money in US politics and its (corrosive) effect on elections and public policy.”
“Nonpartisan, independent and nonprofit, the organization aims to create a more educated voter, an involved citizenry, and a more transparent and responsive government.”
Doing so remains a major uphill struggle. It shows virtually no signs of success. Conditions are worse than ever in modern times. Washington’s political establishment is ruthless, corrupt and lawless.  Continue reading
