While the FT promptly retracted an article on precisely the topic of gold manipulation from earlier this week (recorded for posterity here), Bloomberg appears to not have had the same “editorial” concerns and pressures, and today released an article once again slamming the final conspiracy theory that while every other asset class is manipulated, gold is in a pristine class of its own, untouched by close-banging, price fixing traders or central bankers, and reports that “the London gold fix, the benchmark used by miners, jewelers and central banks to value the metal, may have been manipulated for a decade by the banks setting it, researchers say.”

I’m learning that in some instances, I strive too hard to do this work. I’ve tried with all of myself to offer something valuable every day, and I recognize that in doing so, I tend to force and subdue the very flow I work to attain. It is the end of an era – much was learned, much was lost.  The choice for change, for an end, for justice and for peace has already been made.  This choice was made by everyone; this “everyone” includes every person inside the 7 billion of humanity.  Movement is accomplished bit by bit – sudden movements are not possible.  Change is inevitable and guaranteed.  It feels slow.  You are moving more than a mountain.  You are altering an entire race.

This thing that is happening, this altering of life on earth, is occurring within the only “time frame” that it can. Depending on your location and perspective, you’ll consider this process to be too fast, too slow or appropriate.  Yet it is happening, and evidence of the change is everywhere.

Yanukovich Denies Ouster, Says ‘Ashamed & Guilty’ For Not Preventing Chaos – 28 February 2014

Ousted Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich pledges to fight for Ukraine. He addressed a press conference in southern Russia, appearing in public for the first time since he fled Kiev amid bloody riots.

“No one has ousted me,” Yanukovich told reporters. “I had to leave Ukraine because of a direct threat to my life and the lives of my family.”

According to Yanukovich, “nationalist fascist-like fellows representing the absolute minority of Ukrainians” took over power in Ukraine.

He described the situation in Ukraine as “complete lawlessness,” “terror” and “chaos”, saying that the politicians, including MPs, have been threatened and are working under threats.

Why Govt Wants To Steal Your Money – 28 February 2014

Having spent all the money they can possibly borrow, the West’s rapacious governments are, like a drug-addled addict, desperate for more. To that end, taxes are on the up and a mantra of wealth redistribution is at the top of political wish lists.

This is of course a woeful state of affairs as the ability of governments to spend other people’s money wastefully is endless. The ability of governments to spend other people’s money in a useful fashion has always proven limited. The road to prosperity involves empowering innovation, small business and bottom-up growth. Top-down government meddling and rapacious taxes don’t help.

Therefore, from America’s basketballer-in-chief to Francois Hollande, the first custard pie of the Elysee (or whatever France terms him), a delusional race is on for more tax. Wage earners are already being clobbered and await more misery. Meanwhile, EU savers remain in danger of confiscation. The Cypriots have already lost out, while the Hungarian and Polish governments have engineered de facto theft of pension funds. IMF memos are already suggesting the only way to pay down the mountains of European debt will be to steal the people’s savings.
