Starself.com – Rick DiClemente’s Astrology Newsletter (With Cheryl Crise) – The Puncture Of The Collective – 15 March 2014

(rick2Lucas: After my viewpoint in the now with Rick DiClemente on Double Dutch Radio where we also discussed the 13th sign that out of nothing seemed to be existing… here is a newsletter article by Rick from February 2011 you also can find on his blog starself.com that will explain a lot. If you wanted to know more!)

It was the middle of the afternoon on January 4, 2011 in Brussels, Belgium and few if any knew what was happening. Even though the Solar Eclipse in Capricorn had just occurred about 6 hours earlier, it would take more than a star-gazer to realize the ramifications of what just had exploded above them.

Two massive planetary bodies, Uranus (U) and Jupiter (J), had just lined up with the earth. This alignment happens approximately every 14 years. But this time, the two were in the late degrees of Pisces and that hadn’t happened since 1927. That’s one complete revolution of Uranus, 84 years, and 6 cycles for Jupiter.

Astrologically, when these two effervescent planets align, they signify rapid leaps of scientific discovery (J), sudden growth of public awareness (J), spontaneously expanded perceptions, merging of social concerns (J) with technology (U), and major breakthroughs (U). This pairing pushes past status-quo stale boundaries with great enthusiasm and a sudden sense of impatience and readiness. These two speak of liberation (U) and creativity (J). Air and Fire.

As with all combinations of planetary influences, there is also an accompanying down-side, a shadow-side, a misuse of the energies that can mutate and manifest in unpredictable ways. The combination of Uranus and Jupiter can loose a wild, destructive, chaotic, irrationality too. It’s called going nutso.

This is what seemed to happen 4 days later to the accused mass-murderer, Jared Lee Loughner, in Tucson, Arizona. These two planets are known for pushing you out of the nest or sometimes, over the edge. It all depends on how stable you are in the first place. Allegedly, Loughner (22), shot and killed 6 people and injured 14 others. US Representative Gabrielle Giffords was nearly killed; a nine-year-old girl, Christina Taylor-Green, suffered a fatal bullet, as well as a Federal Judge, John Roll, and others.

His natal chart was experiencing the square (right angle) from the transiting Uranus/Jupiter almost exactly to his natal Uranus in late Sagittarius. For a “healthy” 21-yr-old mind, this should have been a joyful time of discovery, a liberating time of the initial excitements of young adulthood and independence.

Collectively, the USA went through a great shock during the Tucson shootings. Instantly, knee-jerk pundits started to blame (J/U) the overall vitriolic feverish political tone (U) of the country’s rhetoric (J). Jupiter is known for over-reaction and exaggeration, while Uranus can frankly respond in a fanatical way. These two planets no nothing of restraint. This is why we’re seeing people with such short fuses now, getting overwrought about politics and current affairs.

Then, two days later on January 10, 2011, seemingly unrelated to the Tucson Massacre, Professor of Astronomy, Parke Kunkle, of the Minneapolis Community and Technical College was interviewed by a local television station. He didn’t know it at the time, but he was the unwitting channel of Uranus and Jupiter when he addressed the subject of the “precession of the equinoxes.” The precession is often cited by those untrained in astrology in an attempt to prove that astrology is based on false premises. Astrologers have long been aware of the precession factor and incorporate adjustments for it into their calculations and interpretations.

Astronomers use is the “sidereal zodiac (via the stars)” which aligns the planets with the constellations. Western astrologers use the “tropical” zodiac which is calibrated differently and aligns itself each spring with Earth’s seasons. Two different zodiacs. Unrelated. One big confusion. Apples and oranges.

Kunkle’s discussion then went on to a different subject – “the 13th sign of the zodiac.” Named Ophiuchus (or Serpentarius,) this massive constellation lies above and between Scorpio and Sagittarius. Since the ever-separating sidereal and tropical zodiacs are currently offset by approximately 25 degrees, somehow it was suggested that Ophiuchus could fit in between Scorpio and Sagittarius and fill in the gap! There never was a gap to begin with! What followed was a great mix-up of two entirely different stories. Prof. Kunkle released the beginning and ending dates that would correspond if we did in fact have 13 signs. This suggested table of 13 date-ranges had already been published many years ago in a book on “Ophiuchus, the 13th sign.” The subject keeps reoccurring ever few years and is largely disregarded by the astrological community. This time around, however, public panic ensued. Across the globe, people became upset that somehow their Sun sign was no longer! Some Scorpios now were to be Librans, some Capricorns would be Sagittarians, etc. People became very confused and weren’t happy about it! As a by-product, it was a revelation to many that they had developed this visceral attachment to their Sun sign and its accompanying archetypal essence.

Then, before you could even learn how to pronounce OFF-ee-YOO-kuss, a third unrelated story reared its head and spread quickly across the internet: one of shifts to the earth’s magnetic fields. These shifts are common, but apparently the current position of the most recent shift of magnetic north has gotten to the degree where at least several U.S. airports renumbered their runways to match.

So, add it all up. In the great confusion, we had two different zodiacs; a 13th sign of Ophiuchus, and a significant shift to earth’s magnetic field! Keep in mind: this was all occurring immediately after Jupiter had met up with Uranus on January 4, 2011.

Nothing like this clamor had been heard before. Immediately, across our planet, astrologers tried to quell this bedlam. The clarification of the “precession of the equinoxes” was issued for a kazillionth time and folks calmed down somewhat – back to the comfort of their misleading newspaper horoscopes. All was calm. No one cared about Ophiuchus anyway and figured the airplanes would find safe methods for landing somehow.

Of course, during this time, I was bombarded by confused clients via phone and email! “What do I do now?” On the afternoon of Friday, January 14, 2011, I had a major epiphany that something very special was happening. Yes, there were great misunderstandings abounding, but the degree to which the masses were disquieted was on such a scale that I felt something much bigger was afoot.

Something much bigger was afoot

For the first time in history, I believe, people refused to have “objective science” disconnect them from their divine connection, their lineage to their natural archetypal roots that they feel through their Sun sign. Most people cannot understand how astrology works. Many will downplay astrology as malarkey, but don’t dare take away their Sun sign. It went deeper than that. They may not know that they have 4 or 5 signs well represented in their birth chart or that their chart has many other dimensions, but, they feel at a primal level, collectively, that their archetypal nature is in fact, valid. This new suggested Ophiuchan paradigm was simply not workable or acceptable.

Aware of it or not, people found their real connection to their Sign’s archetypal nature

Why? Because they were threatened with losing it

So, I started to wonder, “What had happened 84 years earlier, one revolution of Uranus ago?” Often times the completion of a planet’s orbit marks times of special turning points in human history. I also suspected Uranus because it represents chaos and sudden change besides the fact that it rules technology and astrology itself. I did some research and I found that Uranian themes of independence, revolution, scientific breakthrough, changes in ideology, sudden leaps of realization, or collective panic, etc. recur approximately every 84 years in relationship to a “starting event.” Remember, Uranus rules the sign of Aquarius.

This is just one example of using a starting date and following every 84 years or so to see the reoccurring return points. To give you an example of these repetitive cycles, take a wide view and go backwards from WWII:

Year

—-

1945 World War II (Aquarian President Franklin Roosevelt)

-84 years earlier

1861 American Civil War (Aquarian president Abraham Lincoln)

-85 years earlier

1776 Declaration of Independence

-84 years earlier

1692 Mass-panic at the Salem witch trials

-85 years earlier

1607 Jamestown was founded

Consider what dramatic shifts happened in the American psyche during these times. Each had to do with massive revolutions to American “thought” and/or issues of freedom – both Aquarian and Uranian keywords. The collective. You’ve both the birth of a nation as well as one of our greatest examples of mass hysteria.  Certainly hysteria is a word that can easily be applied to these “modern” political times.

Aquarians can stir up the collective mind for the best or the worst.

Aquarians: Glenn Beck, Dick Cheney, Ellen DeGeneres, Keith Olbermann, Sarah Palin, Ed Schultz, Eckhart Tolle, Oprah Winfrey, etc.

The main effect Uranus has recently had on the masses in the USA is that it has shaken up

those who want to cling to the pseudo-safety of the past, those who tend to see

all movement toward progressive change as being radical and irresponsible

I went back in time about 84 years from 2011 and wondered what had happened in the approximate year of 1925 and remembered that Einstein was toiling with other physicists over major differences of opinion regarding the Quantum Theory of Physics.

That was it!

And I found that the Fifth Solvay Conference was held in late October of 1927 in Brussels. It was named after a Belgian industrialist, Ernest Solvay. In attendance at this International Solvay Institute for Physics and Chemistry were such noted physicists and scientists as: Albert Einstein, Niels Bohr, Werner Heisenberg, Max Planck, Madame Curie, Max Born, Erwin Schrödinger , Paul Diric, Wolfgang Pauli.

In October of 1927, Jupiter was in very late Pisces, as Uranus was in the 1st degree of Aries.

As of early January, 2011, they were almost exactly back at that same point

Inner ring, where Jupiter and Uranus were on October 27, 1927

Outer ring, where Jupiter and Uranus were during their conjunction on January 4, 2011

On January 4, 2011, Jupiter and Uranus conjuncted at 27° Pisces. Besides that fact, there was a Lunar Eclipse that same day at 13° Capricorn 39’ (adding much more emphasis to the entire experience)! So, Uranus and Jupiter were basically back at the same spot that they had occupied 84 years earlier in 1927! Uranus returns are rebirths, a new shot in the arm. Suddenly, old thought seems outmoded and collective thought is informed by a new perspective. That’s how Uranus works.

2011 is proving to be a higher octave of what physicists had born in 1927:

We were experiencing the rebirth, in a manner of speaking,

of our perception and acceptance of Quantum Mechanics

and its implications in the greater collective mind

Quantum thought had begun to gain favor approximately in 1900, beginning with Max Planck’s innovative formulation (Planck’s Constant.) 27 years later (one Saturn revolution) brought us to the 5th Solvay Conference of 1927. Accompanied by Jupiter, the exclaimer, the cheerleader, the social philosopher; Uranus, the scientist and inventor, staked its claim to the world that Quantum Physics was to be the new scientific standard and also raised the bar much higher for collective thought. Nothing was to be the same again.

Einstein tried as he might with his research in the Unified Field Theory but always had difficulty accepting the Quantum Theory in its totality. At the conference he told Neils Bohr, “God doesn’t play dice.” Bohr responded with his famous line, “Stop telling God what to do with his dice.” Quantum Physics was born. Einstein never did accept Quantum thought in its entirety when in fact he had contributed much to its establishment. New thought was sweeping the land. Heisenberg and Born, speaking to the Solvay physics conference, went so far as to declare quantum mechanics to be complete and irrevocable. That makes a time stamp – a birth, if you will. 2011 was the Uranian response to that “truth” 84 years later.

Matter and wave particles were both vying to be the foundation of science; each was being stretched toward the absolute unboundedness of human understanding. It is no mere coincidence that great advancements in the field of psychology coincided with the paths of Uranus and Jupiter through the sign of Pisces. Pisces rules the subconscious mind and Uranus, breakthroughs. The important work of Swiss psychologist Carl Jung from 1900 until his death in 1961, and of those who followed paralleled the incredible breakthroughs in the physics labs of the time. Jung is known for furthering Freud’s work on the symbolic (archetypal) significance of dreams as well as of the experiences of waking life and the meaning of the timing of events – coincidences. What physicists began calling “acausal correlations” are what Jung referred to as synchronicity.

Jung came to recognize astrology as a language expressive of archetypal principles. “Jung began to examine astrology as early as 1911, when he mentioned his inquiries in a letter to Freud, ‘My evenings are taken up very largely with astrology. I make horoscopic calculations in order to find a clue to the core of psychological truth.’” Pg. 61-62, “The Essential Jung,” by Anthony Stoor.

The new theory of quantum physics validated astrology as understood

from ancient times and expressed by Hermes Trismegistus’ “As above – so below

Even though quantum thought was largely accepted by the scientific community from then on, these theories were mostly incapable of being understood by the public and it wasn’t until January 4 of 2011 that it became apparent, that it had found its home in the modern collective mind. This does not mean that it’s now on the tip of everyone’s tongue, rather, it is now the basis of collective thought in general. Massive change takes place gradually but often has a flash-point, a tipping-point, if you will. This is one such time.

I had found what I was looking for. Now, I knew why the addition of the 13th sign and the other follies had burst into the collective mind. Those manifestations of Uranus and Jupiter were distortions. When chaotic experiences proliferate in a myopic fashion, it can take us a few days to get a grip on what’s going on at the core.

Think of it. Today we don’t give a second thought to the power of prayer or how words affect matter. Distance healing is gaining acceptance rapidly. We know via quantum physics that the observer affects the observed. We know that we create our own world. Einstein proved to us that there is no such thing as space or time; it’s all relative. The quantum dimension shows us how an object can be in two places at once. These are proven facts.

A fiery debate (J) sprung up (U) immediately after the Tucson tragedy. Right or wrong, more than a few of us were eager to point the blame toward the nation’s angry tone of speech and vitriolic rhetoric in our current media and at the water-cooler. Jupiter does not always bring a bag of toys; sometimes it can be irresponsible, wild, and reckless. Unaccountable orations and accusations from atop a soap-box can start wildfires. So, we see, perhaps for the first time, the incredible impact such loose talk has had can have on our society as a whole – words are things (J). Powerful things.

Before 2011, we would have reacted differently. I warned people of this possibility several years ago as Uranus has been approaching Aries. Uranus has been impelling us to liberate ourselves but not to the cost of blaming all kinds of “them”s out there. That can only result in more abrasiveness, polarization, and hatred. As a collective, we now know it has been simply wrong and dangerous to be talking the way we have been. We can’t shrug our collective shoulders anymore. It has filtered into the collective mind. That’s what the Tuscon/Giffords principle did for us. That’s the evolution of consciousness.

Hate radio and hate TV only survive because of those who listen and watch

Thankfully there are no more Salem witch trials

Today, physicists admit that they are “stuck.” Their discovery of dark matter and dark energy has led them to see that 95% of what they thought was there, isn’t! They don’t know how to explain it. In my belief, they’re just starting to catch up with Christ and The Buddha, among others – it’s all God’s Thoughts. Even so, they have a new term for the inexplicable connectedness of things at a “remote distance” (remember, there is no space) and they call it “entanglement.” Doesn’t matter much since they don’t know what entanglement is.

Astrologers call it synchronicity

Our sense of our primal archetypal bases (our Sun signs) are being shaken, ostensibly by the interjection of a 13th sign. In a broader sense however, what is happening during this Uranus/Jupiter return in Pisces is a collective recognition and understanding of the true, acausal, interconnected essence of the universe and of its beautiful symbolic language, astrology.

Just what does it really mean now that Uranus and Jupiter have arrived once again back at the late degrees of Pisces, together, and at the same spot they were 84 years ago? The fact that the 1927 and current conjunctions of these two giants is no coincidence. Pisces is the sign of the grand collective, the oneness of us all where separateness is seen for what it is – a mirage – an illusion. This marks the end of the “old” Newtonian thinking and the start of all of the breakthroughs that are to follow. I truly believe that we are on the edge of new breakthroughs in physics and many other fields. These new discoveries that are on our doorstep now could not have occurred before. Nothing happens until the planets are in position to reflect their new nature. It’s not possible. They are one and the same. Oneness, remember?

Uranus and Jupiter represent individual and social freedoms. Ironically, never before have we been more unsure of our own freedoms. Remember, we can no longer be stuck thinking in nation-centric terms. Jupiter and Uranus are together for all on earth at this time. Look and see how many revolutions (U) are taking place across the globe (J). In the USA, the Left is accusing the Right of making us lose our freedoms while the Right is accusing the Left. The accusations themselves are the problem. Jupiter and Uranus are global planets – they respect no man-made boundaries. This is also why we’re seeing unrest in Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Sudan, Yemen & Lebanon. Their citizens are feeling the call to freedom that comes with both Uranus and Jupiter. This is no coincidence. They are ready. Wait till March 11 when Uranus re-enters Aries; you want to see revolution?

1/27/2011, Assoc. Professor of Practice in Journalism at American University in Cairo, Firas Al-Atraqchi, said, “The Arab masses are sick and tired of being sick and tired. From Tunisia spread a renewed hope that Arabs are experiencing a re-awakening of the collective conscience.”

We have just experienced a great leap in our evolution

This new paradigm does not just puncture our old collective mindset, this is the emergence of the new mind, which is one and separate at the same time; each of is now a downloadable data-station. Never before have we seen so many psychics and mediums. Many people are cultivating their intuitive skills. When new channels open, and rapidly, I might add, it takes time for the human mind to adjust.

Remember, however, Uranus and Jupiter are not tame, mild energies. The initial revolutions that will proceed out of this will be very fiery, strident and wild. It will take years until the finer energies of Neptune catch up with this and we start to see refinement to our social attitudes. That’s just the way these planets are.

Are we truly seeing the emergence of what astrologer Rick Levine calls, “Quantum Astrology.” I think he just might be right. Astrology needs a new name, and for many reasons. Astrologer Richard Tarnas has suggested the name of Archetypal Cosmology.

The term ‘astrology’ no longer works

Just what was it about that Ophiuchus? Do you think it was some kind of coincidence that he re-appeared smack dab in the middle of this new story?

What’s with Ophiuchus anyway? Mythological Ophiuchus, known as the “Serpent Handler” is shown with a large snake around its shoulders with a hand gripping each end. Ophiuchus was known as a great healer. He himself was healed by the greatest healer of all time, Chiron (true ruler of Virgo.) His healing powers were so great that he resurrected Orion the Hunter back from death. This threatened Hades, god of the underworld to the point that he implored of his brother, Zeus, to put Ophiuchus to death in order to reserve immortality solely for the gods. Zeus accommodated Hades by slaying Ophiuchus with a thunderbolt. Even so, Zeus went on to show respect to the fallen Ophiuchus by awarding him a permanent place among the constellations in honor of his good works. He got his golden watch.

Ophiuchus, faced the most severe of penalties for disseminating his knowledge to the public. He’s done it once more. If you think this was just some simple confusion about the 13th signs of Ophiuchus, think again. Astrology is a symbolic language. I believe that he dared reach through the most secretive sign of the zodiac, Scorpio (Lord of the Underworld), to reveal its secrets to us once more. Thank you, Ophiuchus.

This whole issue really has had little to do with the signs of the zodiac, the renovation of acculturation from Jupiter accompanying Uranus signified that the higher principled thought had also become standardized and socialized. We are now collectively able to get a grasp on true archetypal astrology. The sky is no longer the limit; we have shot past the skies. Skies are just illusions too, it’s all outer space. And there’s no space either. Wow. That doesn’t leave us much of a place to hang onto. Perhaps that is the point.

Ophiuchus is rebutting back to Zeus, “No more, we are all gods”

+ The Modern Republic of Egypt was declared on June 18, 1953 when the Sun was at 27° Gemini. That point was just squared by the recent Uranus/Jupiter conjunction exactly on 1/4/11 (“Q: Are we free?”) and is going through its second Saturn return. (Q: Does our form of government work?)

++ Hosni Mubarak (82), Egyptian president’s exact Uranus return is scheduled for April 13, 2012 (Q: Has my incarnation been satisfied?)
