What a bizarre day! I was on the phone to my sister Krisi when her phone on its own accord hung up and starting dialling our other sister Jel. 

Then we started receiving texts from her, which she thought she was sending to someone else. Earlier, someone replied to an email of mine, only they were supposed to be forwarding it. 

I nearly crashed the car twice in 30 seconds in what can only be described as a moment where I either left my body or just totally forgot how to drive a car on the road! 

On top of all that, in the last 24 hours I’ve had a series of amazing synchronicities happen that are off-the-richter-scale, and am hearing of lots of people having major meltdowns/breakthroughs of one kind or other in that same time. 

Have we just had some massive blast of light flood the planet? Are we about to have a ginormous solar flare? I really don’t know but I’m interested to know: how was your day?

Palestinians, Israel Set To Agree To 72-Hr Truce – Egyptian Sources – 4 August 2014

Israel and the Palestinian factions are expected to accept a 72-hour ceasefire in Gaza starting Tuesday morning, Reuters reports citing two Egyptian diplomatic sources.

“Egypt has received very strong indicators on the acceptance by all parties of a 72-hour ceasefire starting at 5 a.m. GMT,” one Egyptian source said.

“More delegations are due to arrive in Cairo soon to engage in the Egyptian initiative, which is mainly aimed at an immediate halt to the bloodshed through a comprehensive truce agreement.”

“We hope this will secure a permanent ceasefire and restore stability,” Egypt’s Foreing Ministry said said in a statement.

Sovereign Citizens Seen As Top Terrorist Threat By US Law Enforcement – 4 August 2014

The sovereign citizen movement is considered the top threat for domestic terrorism, according to a survey of state, local, and tribal law enforcement agencies.

Islamist extremists and militia/patriot groups round out the top three threats to communities in the United States considered most serious by 364 officers of 175 state, local, and tribal law enforcement entities, according to a survey conducted by the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START).

The survey – “Understanding Law Enforcement Intelligence Processes” – found that “52 percent of respondents agreed and 34 percent strongly agreed that sovereign citizens were a serious terrorist threat” as opposed to 39 percent of respondents who agreed and 28 percent who strongly agreed that Islamic extremists were the most serious threat.

ZeroHedge – Nigerian Doctor Who Treated American Ebola Casualty, Contracts Virus; Troops Deployed In Liberia – 4 August 2014

The Lagos doctor who treated American Patrick Sawyer (who died from Ebola in late July) has been confirmed as infected by the deadly virus by Nigerian authorities. This is Nigeria’s second confirmed case of Ebola but what is most concerning is the fact that the doctor’s infection suggests contagion is less well-contained that authorities have claimed – especially in light of the fact that they did not quarantine Sawyer’s fellow passengers. Nigeria is now the fourth nation to report Ebola cases, as Sierra Leone and Liberia are deploying hundreds of troops under an emergency plan to “contain” the worst outbreak of Ebola virus in history.

Informant Admits He Lied About Confession That Got Texan Executed – 4 August 2014

Johnny E. Webb, the informer who testified more than 20 years ago that Cameron Todd Willingham murdered his own children, now says his testimony was coaxed by a prosecutor and wealthy Texas rancher who promised to reduce his prison sentence.

Willingham was convicted by former Navarro County prosecutor John H. Jackson and sentenced to death for deliberately setting fire to his house in late 1991, killing his three young daughters in the process. Jackson has long maintained that he never made a deal with Webb in exchange for testimony against Willingham.

But new evidence reported by The Marshall Project has once again cast doubt on Willingham’s guilt. In taped interviews, Webb, who has twice before attempted to recant his testimony that Willingham had confessed to him while both served time in Navarro County Jail, now says he lied on the witness stand in return for a reduced prison sentence for robbery, and for thousands of dollars of support from millionaire rancher Charles S. Pearce Jr.

UN Was Right To Speak Out On The Gaza Crisis, Says UK Prime Minister – 4 August 2014

David Cameron has endorsed the United Nation’s recent criticism of an IDF attack on a UN-run school in Gaza, which culminated in ten casualties. UN Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon, condemned the assault as a “moral outrage” and “criminal act”.

Cameron failed to indicate if he wholly agreed with Ban Ki-moon’s condemnation of Israel’s recent strike, however, merely emphasizing that the event had brought about“an appalling loss of life,”and civilians should not be targets.

Reflecting on the IDF’s destruction of the school, the PM defended the UK government’s position on the Gaza crisis, stating the coalition had clearly called for “an immediate, comprehensive, humanitarian ceasefire.”

UK’s ‘Warrior Generation’ Could Be Sent Back To Afghanistan – Army Chief – 4 August 2014

Britain’s war in Afghanistan has given rise to a “warrior generation” ready for deployment to other global conflict zones, according to the head of the British Army.

As the UK marks the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War on Monday, General Sir Peter Wall told the Telegraph that British troops had developed skills from its decade of combat in Iraq and Afghanistan needed to provide national security in the future.

“We can be confident we have a ‘warrior generation’ who have the skill and fighting ability to play their role in the nation’s defence and its security interests,” he said.
