Lucas – A Poem – Mother – 19 August 2014

Feeling the warm water floating around you
Filtering the sounds of heart and nourishment
Safe within before being unleashed to the world
Opening up to the light and a push outwards.

Feeling the warm chest and nourished with milk
Filtering the sounds and light of the day
Safe with mom in the turmoil around.
Opening up to a facial recognition.

Feeling the warmth at home with a cup of tea.
Filtering the new experience at the kitchen table.
Safe with telling your stories while being fed.
Opening up to the wonders of life been given.

Feeling the warmth of caring al your life.
Filtering the things learned and remembered
Safe with seeing the example shown to you
Opening up to the fact of growing up.

Feeling the fading warmth of the body your holding
Filtering a life that is given its last in your arms.
Safe with you passing it on and being you.
Opening up to the light a life cycle ending.
