Steve Lendman – Healthcare: A Fundamental Human Right – 16 October 2014

StevelendmanObama’s Affordable Care Act (ACA) falls way short of promised benefits. It’s outrageously expensive.
A new Congressional Budget Office assessment estimates hundreds of billions of more dollars than Obama claimed. Around $300 billion or more.
It’s unaffordable for millions. Double what healthcare costs in other developed nations. Marketplace medicine fails. Often when it’s most needed.
In America, it’s a healthcare rationing system. A scam. A scheme based on ability to pay.

Jon Rappoport – You Won’t Believe The CDC Told This Lie – 16 October 2014

jon7Quick background to set the stage:

In October of 2009, Sharyl Attkisson, writing for CBS News, exposed the fact that the CDC had stopped counting Swine Flu cases in the US. The real reason?

The overwhelming number of blood samples from the most likely Swine Flu patients, sent to labs, were coming back negative for the H1N1 (Swine Flu) virus, or any flu virus.

This was a killer. It left the CDC completely exposed. They were claiming there were tens of thousands Swine Flu cases in America. But the lab tests were revealing how preposterous that lie was. Continue reading

Ebola Epidemic Might Trigger Major Food Crisis – UN – 16 October 2014

RT logo(Lucas: Great, the hyping and fear mongering keeps going on…watch and see.)

The United Nations and non-governmental organizations believe an Ebola crisis that continues to strengthen in the coming months will cause food shortages that could devastate regions in West Africa hit hardest by the virus.

The UN World Food Program (WFP) said it is ramping up efforts to feed more people in Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone, the trio of nations at the epicenter of the latest Ebola virus outbreak that has claimed over 4,000 lives. Border and market closures, restricted movements, and fear of the virus threaten food access in these areas, experts say.

Bettina Luescher, WFP’s chief North American spokesperson, told AP the agency needs to reach 1.3 million people in these nations. WFP has gotten food to 534,000 people thus far, and plans to reach another 600,000 to 700,000 this month.

John Ward – Crash2: Back On The Front Pages – 16 October 2014

frontpagemktsTalking to an eminent investment guru two hours ago – the fourth since last night – The Slog still got the yes-and-no not sure could be maybe response. But the last of the quartet was saying that, without a rally some time in London this afternoon, the FTSE’s fall will be judged “a correction”.

The FTSE is down 0.7% thus far today. The eurozone markets tried a brief rally that went nowhere. Last night, Asian markets followed suit. What is being laughably described as “an unexpected clutch of news” and “global growth fears” around the World follows the usual pattern of ‘the Surprise of the Inevitable and The Growth we all knew went long Ago’ from Bears. AEP is calling for permanent QE (having another off his off/odd days). Yellen has been wheeled out to say she’s confident (always a bad sign) and the US futures are calling at least -1%.
