RT logoSocial justice activists determined to feed the homeless have faced eviction for the second time following their attempts to open a soup kitchen in Westminster, in the heart of London. They were forcibly ousted by police Tuesday night.

Following their eviction from a listed Victorian building near Trafalgar Square they had been occupying in the run-up to Christmas, the group decided to set up a soup kitchen outside.

‘Caught In Dragnet’: Innocent Charities Lose Millions Due To Anti-Terror Laws – 31 December 2014

RT logoBritish charities working in conflict zones are being cut off from millions of pounds worth of funding due to counter-terrorism legislation, a report published on Wednesday suggests.

The paper, produced by the Demos think tank, shows that a wide range of charities, especially those operating in the Middle East, have been affected as major banks continue to shut down bank accounts they believe might be linked to funding terrorist activity.

“Certain users of the banking system deemed to be high risk have found it ever harder to receive, send and store their money,”
said the Royal United Services Institute’s (RUSI) director for financial crime and security studies, Tom Keatinge, who authored the report.

Jon Rappoport – The Individual vs. The Goo – 31 December 2014

jon7“The people” is a convenient term for “every INDIVIDUAL.”

This has been lost in translation. It has been garbled, distorted, just as the proprietor of an old-fashioned carnival shell game distorts the audience’s perception with sleight of hand.

Are “the people” one group? Well, that’s the ultimate Globalist formulation.

However, from the point of view of the free individual, things are upside down. It is HIS power that is primary, not the monolithic corporate State’s.

From his point of view, what does the social landscape look like?

It looks like: THE OBSESSION TO ORGANIZE. Continue reading

Immediate aftermath of MH17 crash

Amateur video surfaced showing the horrific aftermath of the Malaysia Airlines MH17 crash in eastern Ukraine, which killed all 298 people on board in July. Shocked residents can be seen descending on the scene as a massive pillar of black smoke fills the sky. People rush about carrying buckets of water to put out small fires in the vicinity caused by the burning debris. Others are just walking around the site in a state of apparent shock. Responsibility for shooting down the plane has been hotly contested by Kiev and rebel forces. It has also triggered the deterioration of already-strained relations between Moscow and Western governments, which blame Russia for supplying the rebels, whom they blame for the disaster.

US Lifts 40-Year Ban On Oil Exports – 31 December 2014

RT logoThe US has decided to lift a ban on crude oil exports introduced in the 1970’s. The Obama administration is allowing several companies to start exporting raw materials beginning next August.

The US Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) has authorized several energy companies to export so-called ultra-light oil, as stocks in the United States have increased following the development of shale deposits. Supplies can start as early as August, although initial volumes are likely be small.

Although the US Department of Commerce stressed “the policy on the export of raw materials hasn’t changed”, other market players are also likely to ask the authorities for licenses.
