Since I became a part of the conscious community in 2011, I’ve been interested in channeled messages and the idea that we can communicate with higher aspects of our consciousness. I was introduced to spirituality through the communications of apparent enlightened beings who, in their words, want to help us raise our vibration.

I was more heavily involved in channeling when I first emerged than I am now. Whereas I was interested in connecting with specific entities before, I now see that channeling can be a helpful tool to communicate with what I call the ‘higher self’, which is an evolved part of our consciousness that offers advice and guidance in meditation (and in general).

We begin the New Year with a dynamic Full Moon on January 4, which is aligned with a breakdown or breakthrough square between Uranus and Pluto. This challenging aspect has been ongoing since 2012. A potent SuperMoon in Aquarius occurs on January 20, followed the next day by Mercury retrograde in Aquarius. A rare Uranus alignment with the South Node signifies karmic turning points. We can move forward this month, but be prepared to make adjustments and to exercise patience and perseverance.  There is the prospect of enjoyable social activities from a Venus/Jupiter opposition in mid-month.

Afghan President: Troops Withdrawal Deadline May Need To Be ‘Reexamined’ – 5 January 2015

With the US-led coalition pullout in full swing and Afghan forces having assumed full responsibility for national security, the country’s president said has called on to President Obama to reconsider a slower withdrawal schedule.

“Deadlines concentrate the mind. But deadlines should not be dogmas,” Ghani told the CBS program “60 Minutes” broadcasted in the US on Sunday night.

Ashraf Ghani, who took office as Afghan president in September 2014, also said that “multiple partners” have done their best to achieve objectives, so there “should be willingness to reexamine a deadline.”

Canada Blackout: Heavy Snowfall Leaves Over 150,000 Without Electricity In Quebec – 5 January 2015

More than 150,000 Canadians are left without electricity in Quebec due to the snowfall, which caused trees branches to fall, damaging power cables.

The blackouts began Sunday afternoon across the Montreal region, but conditions deteriorated in the evening, and the outages spread all over southern Quebec.

San Francisco Police Shoot Dead Man Who Challenged Officers With Fake Gun – 5 January 2015

A man in San Francisco was shot dead by police after he confronted officers in a police parking lot and reached out for what later turned out to be a fake gun.

The 32-year-old white man walked into the parking lot of the Mission District police station on Sunday evening, police say.

When three police officers asked him to leave the personnel-only area, the man seemed at first to be ready to comply, but seconds later turned back toward them and started to reach for something, which looked like a weapon to the officers.

‘Political Manipulation’: Germany Wants New Greek Govt To Obey Forced Administration – 5 January 2015

The German government insists it wants Greece to stay in the eurozone and isn’t drafting any contingency plans in case of ‘Grexit’. This shows Germany is adamant about keeping Greece under the domination of the ‘troika’, journalist Ernst Wolff told RT.

“The goal of the German government, the European Union and even the government in Athens itself is to keep Greece in the euro zone,” German Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel said in an interview on Sunday.

“There were no, and there are no, other plans to the contrary,” he added, without directly refuting Der Spiegel’s report that a common belief in the German government was that the eurozone is stable enough to cope with potential Greece exit.
