lisagawlas2I feel like there is a million things I need to share today and I already know I am going to forget half of them as I open this up.  So let me start with something beginning to make itself known via the readings, the expansion of time.  As we begin to close out this huge, transformative month of January, the next phase of this wonderment begins with February.  I think the only way I have of really describing february is with the analogy of a garden.  Everything you planted has sprouted, you may not be able to fully identify what has sprouted in your life, but as long as you put energy into your life in January, I promise you, much has already taken form, like a seedling just popping up thru the ground.  The heavenly sprinklers of constant hydration and nourishment are being turned on so your focus is more on play than on watering seedlings you may even forgot you planted.  So, to put this more plainly, you job in February is to dance in your garden of life, spirit will keep the rains falling for even more fruit to ripen. Greece’s Anti-Austerity Syriza Party Officially Wins Parliamentary Elections With 35.11% – 25 January 2015

RT logoGreece’s radical-leftist party, Syriza, has won between 35.5 and 39.5 percent of the vote in the national parliamentary election, leaving the country’s ruling New Democracy party more than 10 per cent behind, the exit-polls revealed.

The New Democracy party, led by Greek Prime Minister, Antonis Samaras, has received between 23 and 27 percent of the vote.

New Painkiller Found In Coffee – Stronger Than Morphine – 25 January 2015

RT logoCoffee contains a protein that has an effect similar to morphine, specialists at the University of Brasilia and Brazilian agriculture research company Embrapa have discovered. Moreover, the new substance’s effect lasts longer.

The research was conducted by Felipe Vinecky of the Molecular Biology Department at the University of Brasilia (UnB) in cooperation with the Genetics and Biotechnology Division of state owned agriculture and livestock research company Embrapa. The research involved searching for and combining coffee genes to affect quality. In the course of study, the scientists managed to find new substances in the product.

While analyzing the coffee genome sequence and corresponding proteins, Vinecky and his research adviser Carlos Bloch Junior found some proteins similar to those typical for humans. So they decided to synthesize their structural analogues and test their properties.

First-Person Clip Shows Oklahoma Cop Chasing, Gunning Down Suspect – 25 January 2015

RT logoOklahoma police have released an extremely graphic body-camera video showing an officer chasing and shooting down a black man suspected of making gun threats. The first-person clip was meant to justify the cop’s actions, but raised controversy.

In the video, Muskogee, Oklahoma officer Chansey McMillin is seen arriving to investigate a 911 call, which said an armed man was threatening a woman. The call was made by the local Pastor Andre Jones, and was about a woman attending a church wedding, who reportedly turned out to be the suspect’s girlfriend.

McMillin’s body camera shows him approaching the man, identified as Terence Walker, and searching him in the street outside the church. (WARNING: SOME VIEWERS MAY FIND THE VIDEO EXTREMELY DISTURBING).

Germany Halts Arms Exports To Saudi Arabia Citing Regional Instability – Report – 25 January 2015

RT logoGermany has stopped arms exports to one of its biggest buyers, Saudi Arabia. The instability in the region led Chancellor Angela Merkel and her ministers to take the decision. The information hasn’t been officially confirmed.

According to the Bild newspaper, weapons orders from the Middle Eastern country have either been “rejected, pure and simple,” or they have been deferred for further consideration. The decision was made by Germany’s Security Council on Wednesday, which includes Merkel, Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel and seven other ministers.

“According to government sources, the situation in the region is too unstable to ship arms there,” despite the fact that Saudi Arabia is “one of the most important clients of Germany’s arms industry,” with €360 million ($400 million) of arms shipments authorized in 2013, Bild added.
