RT logoAlan Turing’s family has delivered a petition to the prime minister’s office demanding the government pardon 49,000 men persecuted for homosexuality. It has been signed by half a million people.

The call comes after the legacy of Turing, the famous code breaker, was revived following a new wave of publicity after the release of ‘The Imitation Game’ – a biopic portraying Turing’s complicated private life and his cracking of German military codes during World War II.

Turing was convicted of gross indecency for having sexual relations with a 19-year-old man in 1952. He killed himself two years later, after accepting hormonal treatment which rendered him impotent.

Jon Rappoport – The Worship Of Vaccination In The Holy Temple – 23 February 2015

jon7In past articles, I’ve covered all major aspects of the fake science of vaccination…so-called herd immunity, “safe and effective,” etc.

Here I want to look at the overall pattern that successful organized religions have been following for centuries—because vaccination occupies the same platform, deploying the same basic strategies.

This is no accident.

If it works in the religious realm, it can work in the secular venue, by stimulating the urges and fears of programmed humans. Continue reading

Residents of the Sunshine State say they spotted a massive fireball soar through the Florida sky over the weekend, and similar reports have since surfaced from as far away as South Carolina.

According to the American Meteorological Society (AMS), 189 people have filed reports since late Saturday evening, when they saw a fireball cut through the night sky. At least 15 eyewitnesses described seeing the phenomenon accompanied by what the AMS called a “window rattling delayed boom.”

It “sounded like an explosion,” a witness, who gave her name as Kasey W. from Lake City, FL, told the AMS. Another person who said she encountered the fireball, Lindsey E., also of Lake City, said her “windows and walls shook along with a loud pop and boom.”

Mish/ Mike Shedlock – Beggar Thy Taxpayer: Currency Wars, QE Strain Life Insurers And Pension Plans; Negative Returns With 4-7% Promise – 23 February 2015

MishMikeShedlockI received an interesting email on Saturday from Bob Hoye at Institutional Advisors regarding “Currency Wars”.

Bob writes …

Currency wars are very much the talk of the times. This was also the case in the last postbubble contraction when many countries sought to enhance exports through depreciation. And “beggar thy neighbour” policy was a feature of the early 1930s as well.

This time around it is an intelligentsia stricken by the fear of deflation, trying to ramp up anything that trades. But commodity markets and producer prices have not been “accommodating” central bankers. Instead there has been rampant inflation in financial assets, which has reached excessive levels of speculation. Clearly, it is a “beggar thy taxpayer” policy.

UN Experts Hit Out At Proposed Spanish ‘Gag Law’ – 23 February 2015

RT logoThe UN says Spain should reject controversial anti-protest legislation as it violates basic rights and freedoms. The proposed new law, referred to as a “gag law,” would introduce heavy fines for protesters and has proved deeply unpopular in the country.

A panel of human rights experts from the United Nations said they were concerned about the Public Security Law and the Penal Code initiatives, which they say will violate Spanish people’s human rights. The proposed legislation also advocates the immediate expulsion of illegal immigrants caught trying to enter the country’s enclaves in North Africa.

Maina Kiai, a UN special expert on the rights to freedom of peaceful assembly, said the reform “unnecessarily and disproportionately restricts basic freedoms such as the collective exercise of the right to freedom of opinion,” AP reports.

Lavrov: Time To Decide If We Want UN Focused & Effective Or On The Sidelines – 23 February 2015

RT logoDownload video (22.29 MB)

The UN would be effective in settling international disputes, if some member-states didn’t try to use it for dominating world affairs, Russian Foreign Minister believes, adding that such efforts led to bombings in Serbia, war in Iraq and chaos in Libya.

Sergey Lavrov has called for the UN, about to celebrate its 70th anniversary, to be an independent and effective leader in global decision-making, despite attempts by some of its members to usurp the organization’s functions.

“It’s time to answer the question: do we really want the see the UN an effective and influential instrument of preserving peace and security or are we ready to allow it turn into the arena of propagandist struggle, with the UN being excluded from the process of finding key solutions to international problems,” Lavrov said, at the open debate for the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), held on Monday in New York.
