RT logo(Lucas: again with the non-disclosure agreement signed with the Ukraine the full truth can and will not be known as evidence can be reviewed, nor can we be sure there has been tempered with or things are even destroyed and or hidden or lost.)

The Netherlands has denied reports that the Malaysia Airlines plane was downed by a Buk missile, killing all 298 passengers and crew last July.

The Dutch Safety Board (DSB), which is investigating the cause of the crash, responded to reports released earlier by Netherlands broadcaster RTL alleging that the flight MH17 was downed by a Russian-made anti-aircraft missile system.

Revealed: The CIA Report Used As Pretext For Iraq Invasion – 20 March 2015

RT logoThe document summarizing the CIA’s purported knowledge of Iraqi chemical, biological and nuclear weapons programs, produced in October 2002 and hidden from the public ever since, has finally been made public.

The CIA had previously released a heavily redacted version of the controversial National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) in 2004. Last year, transparency advocate John Greenwald made another FOIA request and received a declassified version of the document, which Vice News published this Thursday.

RAND Corporation, a government-connected think tank, also had access to the NIE. In a report published in December 2014, RAND analysts noted that the original CIA assessment contained many qualifiers about virtually everything, but as the document went up the chain of command, “the conclusions were treated increasingly definitely.”

US Re-Evaluation Of Israel Policy Could Pave Way To UN Condemnation – 20 March 2015

RT logoThe US is “evaluating” its policy towards Israel in the wake of Benjamin Netanyahu’s re-election and campaign statements. This could involve passing a UN resolution condemning Israeli settlements.

President Obama called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday to congratulate him on winning the March 17 election, and used the opportunity to reaffirm Washington’s commitment to a two-state solution that would result in a “secure Israel alongside a sovereign and viable Palestine.”

The president also brought up Netanyahu’s campaign comment about Israeli Arabs and said the US was reassessing its options following the prime minister’s rejection of Palestinian statehood, a White House official told Reuters

CISA Text Released: Cyber Bill’s Privacy Safeguards Don’t Impress Critics – 20 March 2015

RT logoSenate lawmakers say the updated language in its Cyber Information Sharing Act will protect the nation’s computer networks against attacks, but privacy advocates say they aren’t satisfied with CISA’s supposed safe-guards.

The Senate Intelligence Committee unveiled the 52-page proposal on Tuesday this week in an announcement that touts the bill as an improvement to cyber security in the United States through enhanced sharing of threat information between private entities and the federal government.

On the heels of several unsuccessful attempts in recent years to pass similar cyber-sharing bills, and recent major hacks, such as the assault against Sony Picture Entertainment in November, the latest offering could well be accepted by lawmakers.

Where And How To See The Full Solar Eclipse This Friday March 20 – 20 March 2015

RT logoThe “supermoon” will move between the sun and the Earth on Friday in an event that will darken the skies above Northern Europe. According to astronomers, this type of eclipse is so rare it will occur only three times more this century.

A solar eclipse is to take place in the morning on March 20, but only a small part of the world will get the experience of a “totality”, or full eclipse, with a partial few-hour-long eclipse in store for residents of Europe, North Africa and West Asia. Its path will start in Greenland and move across the North Atlantic and Arctic Oceans mostly.

The moon’s position is currently at its closest to the Earth – this is usually dubbed “supermoon”. It is believed that this will make the eclipse particularly jaw-dropping in the Faroe Islands and in Norway’s Svalbard archipelago, where the occlusion of the sun will reach nearly 100 percent.

The rest of the Norwegians and the Scots will be lucky enough to eyewitness around a 90 to 95 percent occlusion, while in the south of the UK, an 85 percent occlusion (approximately) will be best observed at 09.30am GMT. In Paris and Berlin the best time to lift your eyes to the skies will be at 10.30am local time.

Lavrov Condemns Reuters Report On MH17 Crash, Calls For ‘Unbiased, Professional’ Investigation – 20 March 2015

RT logo(Lucas: There will be no unbiased and independent investigation due to the non-disclosure agreement signed with Ukraine by the parties like The Netherlands, etc. )

Russia’s foreign minister Sergey Lavrov has condemned a news report of witnesses’ statements, in which people said they had seen a rocket fired at the time of Malaysian Boeing crash in Ukraine in July 2014. “Looks like a stovepiping,” Lavrov said.

Attempts at distorting facts, enforcing versions on what could have happened continue to exist, with some based on openly dirty intentions,” Lavrov told journalists on Thursday. Commenting on last week’s Reuters report on “new evidence on the downing of the Malaysian plane over Ukraine,” the minister said that it looked like the “respected agency” had published “a so-called stovepiping.”

“[There are] some witnesses, who contradict one another, and express things amusing for any specialist. For instance, some wiggling rocket, separating rocket stages, blue clouds of smoke,” the minister said, adding such information has been provided by alleged eyewitnesses, who managed to see the crash despite being 25 kilometers (15 miles) away from it, in cloudy weather.

ActivistPost – TSA To SPOT Terrorists By Scanning Facial Expressions – 20 March 2015

Logo_activistpost-comBy ACLU

The TSA thinks it can spot a terrorist from our involuntary facial expressions. As part of the TSA’s Screening Passengers by Observation Techniques (SPOT) program, thousands of “behavior detection” officers scrutinize the behavior of travelers in airport screening areas in an attempt to identify anyone who may pose a security risk. If they identify someone exhibiting a “cluster” of behaviors from a list of over 90 expressions that the TSA associates with stress, fear, or deception, they refer that person for secondary inspection or questioning.
