NaturalNews – Jennifer Lilley – FDA Tries To Destroy Homeopathy – Warns Doctors, Consumers To Beware Side Effects Of Supposedly ‘Inert’ Products – 16 April 2015

NaturalNewss Logo-April-2014(NaturalNews) Despite the fact that people have turned to homeopathic remedies for hundreds of years and enjoy their health-boosting benefits to this day, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is coming down hard on such products, issuing safety alerts and encouraging people to report any side effects.

Wait a minute.

If anything, many people use these products to avoid the side effects they’ve incurred while ingesting or applying some physician-prescribed pill or cream in the first place. Homeopathic remedies improve conditions, rather than make them worse, which is far more than what can be said of many conventional approaches. Continue reading

ZeroHedge – “Bonds Don’t Bring Breakups, Banks Do”; UBS Says Europe Risks Bank Runs On Grexit – 16 April 2015

ZeroHedgeEarlier today, we reported that Germany is preparing a contingency plan to deal with the fallout from a Greek default, the odds of which analysts are now putting at even money. According to Die Zeit, Berlin is looking at options to keep the Greek banking sector solvent (i.e. make sure there are still euros in the ATMs) even in the event Athens misses a payment to the IMF next month. Germany also indicated it was prepared to let Greece go should Tsipras, Varoufakis, and their merry band of Syriza socialist saviors be unwilling to adopt reforms in exchange for assistance to the banking sector. In the event the Greek government remains steadfast in its “where’s our money” approach to negotiations, Brussels will reportedly assist the country in transitioning back to the drachma. In the midst of the (continuing) drama, UBS is out with a new note which warns against adopting the idea that a Grexit would prove to be an isolated event. Here’s more:……….

Mish/ Mike Shedlock – Super Taper Tantrum? How About An UnTaper Tantrum? – 16 April 2015

MishMikeShedlockGenerally, the IMF is wrong every which way about nearly everything.

Thus, one has to wonder if the correct response to ‘Super taper tantrum’ ahead, warns IMF is along the lines of “No Worries Mate“.

José Viñals, the director of the IMF’s monetary and capital markets department, warned of a “super taper tantrum” and spiking yields as the US central bank gets nearer to lifting rates from near-zero levels. “This is going to take place in uncharted territory,” he said in an interview.

In its Global Financial Stability Report, released on Wednesday, the IMF argued that risks have not only risen worldwide, but that they have rotated to parts of the financial world that are harder to monitor — including to the non-bank sector.

Surveillance Reform? Intense Lobbying Battle Brewing Over Patriot Act Expiration – 16 April 2015

RT logoJust over a month remains before Congress decides whether to reauthorize the USA Patriot Act – the controversial post-9/11 law that serves as the backbone for surveillance. Critics and supporters are lobbying Congress to either ensure their needs are met.

Several provisions of the Patriot Act, first signed during the Bush administration, are due to expire on June 1. The act’s ten provisions included enhancing domestic security against terrorists, improving intelligence gathering and sharing, as well as surveillance procedures. Critics say many of the provisions violate the US Constitution.

The most controversial provision is Section 215, which permits US law enforcement and surveillance agencies to collect phone records and business records. It is the section that the National Security Agency (NSA) claims gave it authority to conduct mass surveillance of US phone records – authority that was exposed by whistleblower and former contractor Edward Snowden.
