Question #2: Earning Money from Creativity

“I gave it all to make this music album, and I gave it away to the world for free, simply opening a space for donations. Since I believe a reality of freedom and abundance is possible, I refused to put it out there from a scarcity paradigm like ‘having to pay before listening’… But it seemed not to work… Or at least not yet. RT logoActivists will rally in Westminster on Saturday as part of a Europe-wide protest against the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), which critics say will eradicate public services including the NHS and the BBC.

More than 1,000 people are expected to march against the treaty in London over the weekend, with many more holding demonstrations in UK cities and throughout Europe.

TTIP is a new trade deal between the European Union (EU) and the United States. The UK government backs the deal, claiming it could add billions to the economy by reducing regulations and other barriers to trade. Continue reading

ZeroHedge – Crude Rises On News ISIS Has Entered One Of Baghdad’s Suburbs – 10 October 2014

ZeroHedgeJust like the German-economy crushing Ukraine civil war, which promptly faded into obscurity, so the mainstream appears to have bored quickly with the recent developments surrounding ISIS, with conventional wisdom inexplicably convinced that US airstrikes have managed to stop the Al-Qaeda 2.0 menace dead in its tracks. Nothing could be further from

But while the western world couldn’t care less about the fate of some backwater town on the border between Syria and Turkey, it certainly cares about what happens to the Iraqi oilfields located south of Baghdad (which serve to determine the marginal price of oil around the world). Well, the world may not care, but crude traders certainly do, and the reason why oil appears to be rising in recent trade…

Oxygen Before Life: Experiment Creates O2 Without Plants – 10 October 2014

RT logoA new experiment has shown that atmospheric oxygen can be created without plant life, possibly explaining the presence of small amounts of O2 on Mars.

A team of researchers at UC Davis, California have developed a mechanism for creating oxygen that doesn’t require photosynthesis. Using a vacuum ultraviolet laser – solar light – to irradiate carbon dioxide (CO2) in the lab, the team was able to break the CO2 apart in one step, leaving free carbon and oxygen.

Once the CO2 was broken up into carbon and oxygen, the team used an ion imaging apparatus to track the results.

RT logoUkraine’s Security Council chief may have inadvertently spilled the beans, saying fragments of a Buk-M missile may be found with MH17 crash debris. However, the exact missile he mentioned is only possessed by Ukraine, Russian army officials say.

Investigation of the MH17 Boeing-777-200 crash in July will be completed when the remains of the Buk-M air defense missile are found, Valentin Nalivaichenko, head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), told Ukrainian TV.

Ukraine will fulfill its obligations and identify the perpetrators, who will bear responsibility and compensate for the damage for taking down the MH17 flight with 298 passengers and crew on board, Nalivaichenko said.

British MPs will vote on Monday on an historic motion to symbolically recognize Palestine as an independent state. With Labour instructing its MPs to vote in favour, the non-binding motion would increase pressure on PM David Cameron over the issue.

Proposed by the chair of Labour Friends of Palestine, the back-bencher’s motion also has the support of Liberal Democrat MPs. A number of Conservative backbenchers will also lend their support, despite the party’s large pro-Israel constituency.

The motion states: “This House believes that the Government should recognize the state of Palestine alongside the State of Israel.”

Dana Mrkich – Post Eclipse Message – 10 October 2014

Dana Colour Pic NewIf you felt impacted by the big healing lunar eclipse this week then you should start feeling yourself coming out the other side of that tunnel any second now, if you haven’t already. The Eclipse asked us to let go of old wounds, and it is interesting how the more we let go, the more whole we feel (eventually). The emptier we become, the fuller we allow ourselves to be.

I hope you’re all feeling good, and for those who aren’t sending you prayers for whatever you most need at this time x

LEGO has announced it will not renew its contract with Shell ending a 50-year association. It comes three months after a Greenpeace campaign to prevent the exploration of the Arctic which got the support by more than a million people worldwide.

The toy maker has a $110 million marketing contract with Shell which the company will not renew. Since the 1960s, LEGO has built play sets branded with the Shell logo. The sets, including filling stations, tanker trucks and Shell-sponsored race cars, have been sold at Shell gas stations and toy stores.

Three months ago Greenpeace released a video demonstrating an oil spill in the polar region. The video ends with two captions: “Shell is polluting our kids’ imaginations. Tell LEGO to end its partnership with Shell,” urging support for the initiative.
