Jamye Price – Weekly Lightblast – Innocence – 13 November 2014

JamyePrice2012closeupInnocence

Innocence need never be lost, for you can always find it, or sense it, within you. Like a buried treasure at times, it requires your quest for the vision to see what is buried deep. Innocence is associated with youth, as if they do not know better (meaning worse) yet. However, your young ones come in with a wisdom of the Love of life that the older ones have buried deep beneath fear, regret, trauma and pain. The natural progression of life is that the old ones have the potential to become wise ones as they observe life, begin to make personal choices and find the wisdom in all that they have experienced, even the things that were denied or challenging. Court Denies California Challenge To End Concealed Weapons Restrictions – 13 November 2014

RT logoA federal appeals court ruled Wednesday that California cannot challenge a previous decision that overruled the state’s restrictions on concealed weapons and declared them unconstitutional.

The 2-1 decision by the US 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that California Attorney General Kamala Harris and other groups could not legally involve themselves in a case regarding the state’s ability to keep residents from obtaining a concealed carry permit. Such a permit would allow gun owners to carry a hidden, loaded weapon in public.

Back in February, the same court ruled 2-1 that while the state is allowed to implement rules regarding the way concealed carry permits are authorized, those rules must allow law-abiding citizens to carry weapons in public if they are meant for self-defense. Otherwise, the state would be violating the Second Amendment, which allows citizens to bear arms.

Domestic Violence Should Be ‘Separate Criminal Offence’ – Law Commission – 13 November 2014

RT logoDomestic violence should be treated as a separate and specific criminal offence, the Law Commission said in a consultation launched Wednesday.

The Commission’s proposal comes after Prime Minister David Cameron and other senior ministers offered support for such a measure over the summer.

Both Cameron and Labour Party Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper have backed the designation of an offence which deals specifically with domestic violence.

Moscow Slams NATO’s Accusations Of Invasion In Ukraine As Groundless – 13 November 2014

RT logo(Lucas: The same old story accusations without any tangible proof or evidence and still people are believing the nonsense of NATO / EU/USA on the Ukraine story.)

Russia has denied NATO claims that its army has crossed into eastern Ukraine in the past few days, calling them groundless, the Defense Ministry said.

“We have stopped paying attention to the groundless accusations made by NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, US General Philip Breedlove, of the ‘observed’ Russian military columns allegedly invading Ukraine,” said Defense Ministry official representative, General-Major Igor Konashenkov on Wednesday.

He gave a reminder of earlier and similar NATO claims, which have not been backed by any evidence.

“[We have] repeatedly stressed that there was and is no evidence supporting Brussels’ regular trumpeting over the alleged presence of Russian forces in Ukraine,” Konashenkov said.

Austerity Fatigue: Britons’ Willingness To Accept Cuts Is Evaporating – Poll – 13 November 2014

RT logoBritish voters’ appetite for austerity is rapidly dwindling, a Financial Times (FT) poll has revealed. As an aversion to austerity grows, the continuance of such punitive economic policies after the next general election could spark widespread dissent.

The FT’s Populus poll suggests a mere two out of five voters think further cuts and austerity measures will be necessary between 2015 and 2020, despite a looming budget deficit forecast to stand at £75.2 billion (US$118.9 billion) for the upcoming financial year.

The survey revealed that a considerable majority of Britain’s electorate believe the state’s deficit can be reduced by eradicating wasteful government spending. Such a prudent measure would shield ordinary citizens from the corrosive impact that austerity policies have posed in recent years, they said.

US Bans S. Korea From Sending Jet To Chinese Airshow, Sends Its Own Plane Instead – 13 November 2014

RT logoThe Pentagon’s decision to send a Boeing-made cargo plane to a Chinese airshow is raising questions amidst tensions between not just the United States and China, but now perhaps America and South Korea.

China’s International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, which started on Tuesday this week in Sanzao Town, Jinwan Province, is showcasing military planes from only three foreign nations: the United Arab Emirates, Russia and the US.

But with a massive Boeing C-17 Globemaster III arriving at the event on behalf of the US only days after Washington rebuked a request from Seoul to have a South Korean jet with American insides partake in the expo, the Department of Defense is being accused of hypocrisy and more as defense officials examine the decision.

CNN Ratings Plummet To Historic Low In Primetime Slot – 13 November 2014

RT logoCNN’s ratings hit a record low Monday night during the vaunted 9 p.m. slot once held by legendary Larry King. Not only did the network come in fourth among the cable news channels, it had its lowest number of viewers in nearly a quarter of a century.

During Monday’s second live hour of Anderson Cooper’s show AC360, CNN drew 181,000 total viewers, of whom 53,000 were in the all-important 25- to 54-year-old demographic, according to Nielsen.

That makes the primetime slot “the lowest for the time period since at least Oct. 1, 1991,” TV Newser noted, which is “as far back as Nielsen electronic records go.”

Cooper’s show only adds a second hour on Monday nights. The rest of the week is filled with non-fiction shows from Lisa Ling, Mike Rowe and John Walsh. The new attempt at a lineup began after Piers Morgan Live was canceled; the last episode aired March 28th. Host Piers Morgan had been tapped in to fill the slot starting in January 2011 to replace CNN’s longest-running show, Larry King Live.
