Diné Citizens Against Ruining Our Environment and three other groups have sued the US Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and US Department of Interior, calling on a federal judge to vacate the 130 fracking permits issued by the BLM and enjoin fracking activity in the Mancos Shale of the San Juan Basin until the BLM adheres to the National Environmental Policy Act and the National Historic Preservation Act, according to Courthouse News.

The 4,600-square-mile San Juan Basin of New Mexico’s Four Corners region is home to Chaco Culture National Historical Park, which includes the Anasazi ruins and other archeological remains of structures that were among North America’s largest around 1,000 years ago.

Steve Lendman – Juvenile Lifers in America Without Parole – 14 March 2015

StevelendmanAmerica is the world’s only country imprisoning children for life without the possibility of parole (JLWOP).
Doing so is unconstitutional. It violates 8th Amendment protection against “cruel an unusual punishment.” The legal dictionary calls it:
“any cruel and degrading punishment not known to the Common Law, or any fine, penalty, confinement, or treatment that is so disproportionate to the offense as to shock the moral sense of the community.”

Pedophilia In Britain ‘Woven Into The Fabric Of Society’ – Theresa May – 14 March 2015

RT logoAs the UK has launched a new-judge led inquiry panel to investigate a pedophile ring operated in 1980s, the Home Secretary warns the allegations are just a “tip of an iceberg” and the problem is “woven, covertly, into the fabric of our society.”

Following a spate of allegations concerning the abuse of children by adults, many of who abused their positions of power and status, Home Secretary Theresa May said Britons still do not appreciate the “true scale of that abuse.”

Writing in the Telegraph, May warned that the investigation into predators of children will “lead into our schools and hospitals, our churches, our youth clubs and many other institutions that should have been places of safety…”

ZeroHedge – One Last Look At The Real Economy Before It Implodes – Part 2 – 14 March 2015

ZeroHedgeSubmitted by Brandon Smith via Alt-Market.com,

Part 1 Here.

Consumer spending in the U.S. accounts for approximately 70 percent of gross domestic product, though it is important to note that the manner in which “official” GDP is calculated is highly inaccurate. For example, all government money used within the Medicare coverage system to pay for “consumer health demands,” as well as the now flailing Obamacare socialized welfare program, are counted toward GDP, despite the fact that such capital is created from thin air by the Federal Reserve and also generates debt for the average taxpayer. Government debt creation does not beget successful domestic production. If that was a reality, then all socialist and communist countries (same thing) would be wildly enriched today. This is simply not the case.

ZeroHedge – US Upset At West’s Lack Of War Preparedness – 14 March 2015

ZeroHedgeAs we noted on Friday, America’s closest ally on the world stage went completely rogue last week when the UK made the highly questionable decision to join the China-led Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank without getting the all clear from Washington first. In fact, US officials say the move was made “with virtually no consultation in the US.” The news has the White House frustrated, and understandably so. Ever since the idea of a sinocentric rival to  the Japanese/US sponsored Asian Development Bank was floated last year, US officials have campaigned against it, patiently explaining to anyone for whom it wasn’t obvious that without the guidance of the G-7, such an institution couldn’t be counted on to uphold the proper “standards.” Unfortunately, a few of America’s allies didn’t get the message and the US ended up having to “appeal” to Australia and South Korea to refrain from joining.
