Texas Governor’s Verified Twitter Sends Offensive Messages To His Political Opponents – 2 September 2014

RT logoA tweet from Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s verified account on Sunday featured an image mocking the Democratic district attorney central to an indictment against Perry charging abuse of power. Perry deleted the tweet, saying he did “not condone” the message.

The controversial tweet featured an unflattering mock-up image of Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg, who was convicted of drunk driving in April 2013. After the incident Rick Perry insisted Lehmberg to resign, threatening otherwise to veto funding for her office.

The tweet’s caption read: “I don’t always drive drunk at 3x the legal blood alcohol limit… But when I do, I indict Gov. Perry for calling me out about it. I am the most drunk Democrat in Texas.”

Fukushima: TEPCO Sued For $868,000 In Unpaid ‘Danger Money’ – 2 September 2014

RT logoFour subcontractors, working to decommission the crippled Fukushima nuclear power plant, are suing the Tokyo Electric Power Company, in the first-ever such case, saying they were never compensated for working in the radioactive area.

According to Japanese media, the lawsuit is demanding the utility company pay a total of ¥91.4 million ($868,000) in “dangerous-work” benefits.

The four male workers, aged between 34 and 65, have been employed since May 2011 to remove radioactive debris at reactor 3 and to patrol tanks containing highly radioactive water. Two of the four men are currently working for the subcontractor at the nuclear plant.

The plaintiffs claim the subcontractor, their direct employer, orally explained that the dangerous-work benefits would be paid – but only one of the workers was paid a small amount, the attorney representing the men said on Monday.

John Ward – All Greek To Me : Tsipras Ahead In New Poll As Samaras Economic Rationalisation Becomes More Dali Than Draghi – 2 September 2014

samdohfinalA roasting not roosting for Samaras the chicken

Greek Prime Minister Antonikis Scamaras yesterday leveraged his olive-stone brain to change tack on the economic recovery process for his country. Last November, he declared Greece to be in recovery and past the stage of needing help with its debt. Since then, Greece has taken (very quietly under the Schäuble/Draghi table) brown envelopes to the tune of €26bn to avoid two defaults scheduled for May and September this year. In the face of this contrarian outcome, Mr Scamyerass has decided that Hellas is now entering recovery, not actually in it as such: the foot is in the door as it were, but the door is rather heavier than anticipated. So in order to actually prise the door open, unemployment must be defeated…for it is “a treacherous and tough opponent of society, undermining the dreams of the youth”. As well as being, of course, Brussels-am-Berlin policy. Continue reading

EU ‘Shoots Itself In The Foot’ By Blocking South Stream – Gazprom – 2 September 2014

RT logoThe attempts by the European Commission to delay the construction of the South Stream gas pipeline are motivated strictly for political reasons, Gazprom’s spokesman has said.

So far, the EU seems ready to shoot itself in the foot by blocking a project that will increase its energy security and help Europe satisfy increasing energy import needs, at no cost to European taxpayers,” Gazprom spokesman Sergey Kupriyanov wrote in a letterto the Financial Times (FT).

It comes as a response to an article by the FT’s Energy Editor Guy Chazan published on August 25, where he called the South Stream project “a pipe dream,” saying the project “has become one of the biggest casualties of the east-west stand-off over Ukraine.

Dobrolet Plus To Replace Aeroflot’s Sanctioned Budget Airline – 2 September 2014

RT logoThe successor to Aeroflot’s low-cost carrier Dobrolet – grounded by EU sanctions – will be little different from its predecessor and will return to the skies this fall under the name Dobrolet Plus.

Internet domain names have already been purchased, Izvestia newspaper reports, adding that Aeroflot has not denied the airline’s new name.

The company acquired domains dobroletplus.com, dobrolet-plus.com, as well as Russian regional versions ending with .ru and .рф.

The new company will replace Dobrolet, which ceased operations in August under pressure of the sanctions imposed by the European Union over its flights to Crimea.

Jon Rappoport – Vaccines Cause Brain Damage: The Mothers Know – 2 September 2014

jon7I’ve spent many pages laying out how the medical cartel plays semantic games, in order to “prove” vaccines don’t cause “autism.” (See here, here and here.)

There’s a simpler conclusion.

The mothers know.

They know what happened to their children. They don’t need sophisticated analyses. They don’t need disease or disorder labels. They don’t need the very doctors who administered the vaccines turning around and lying to them. Continue reading

Military Aircraft Buzz Over Wales Ahead Of NATO Summit – 2 September 2014

RT logoA series of training flights by military helicopters and other aircraft circled around the Welsh cities of Cardiff and Newport ahead of the NATO summit, in what has been called one of the largest security operations to ever take place on British soil.

Monday’s operation is reported to have been a familiarization flight for US crews.

The elite US Marine Corps HMX-1 squadron circled over the Welsh cities, along with RAF Military helicopters and police air support.

Sikorsky VH-60N helicopters, a VIP version of the US Blackhawk, were also seen. The VH-60N changes its sign to ‘Marine One’ only when the President is on board.
