Initially, the world got to see a different car, with co-founder Sergey Brin saying at the time: “The main reason we wanted to develop this prototype vehicle is that we can do a better job than we can do with an existing vehicle.”

Nicaragua Starts Work On $50Bn Canal Between Two Oceans – 23 December 2014

RT logoThe Nicaraguan alternative to the Panama Canal will be a waterway connecting the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans and is to be the most ambitious construction project in Latin America.

On Monday Nicaragua officially began work on a canal which will be a competitor to the Panama Canal 600 kilometers south. The Nicaragua canal will be capable of handling the super-heavy class ships with the capacity of up to 400,000 tons. It will be 278 kilometers long and 30 meters deep, which makes it wider and deeper that the century old Panama Canal. It is expected to be completed and operational by 2019.

The canal will reduce the cost of transporting goods via sea between America, Europe and Asia by about 30 percent. Experts believe it will be able to handle more than 5,000 high tonnage vessels a year.

‘Why Are Covert CIA Agents Operating In Allied EU Countries?’ – 23 December 2014

RT logoAnnie Machon is a former intelligence officer for the UK’s MI5, who resigned in 1996 to blow the whistle. She is now a writer, public speaker and a Director of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition.

After a CIA memo explaining how to get through tighter EU border security checks was leaked to WikiLeaks, the question arose why are there covert agents in the countries the US is meant to share intelligence with, former MI5 agent Annie Machon told RT.

RT:You might have heard what we were talking about there. Some of the CIA tips, are they similar to what MI5 tells its agents?

Annie Machon: They are similar to what you can read from any similar spy pot-boiler, actually. I think my first point on this would be, it’s good to see that WikiLeaks is back doing what it does best, which is providing a secure platform for leakers who are concerned about what’s going on in intelligence agencies to get the information out.

ZeroHedge – The Housing Recovery Remains Cancelled Due To 6 Months Of Downward Revisions – 23 December 2014

ZeroHedgeFollowing last month’s surge to record high home prices, it is perhaps no surprise that for the 6th month in a row, home prices have been revised lower. New Home Sales printed 438k, down from prior revised lower 445k and missing expectations of a surge to 460k… missing for 8 of the last 10 months. However, the key focus should be on the epic revisions of the (by now useless) home sales. For the period May – November, the initial new home sales prints amount to 2.779MM houses. Post revision, the number plunges by 22% to 2.168K. There goes the housing pillar of recovery (let’s hope economists are wrong and rates don’t rise next year eh?)

LAPD Body Camera Footage Won’t Be Released To The Public – 23 December 2014

RT logoAs the Los Angeles Police Department prepares to outfit its force with body cameras during interactions with the public, civil rights groups are concerned over the idea that footage won’t be made public outside of court proceedings.

Body cameras are being touted as one way to increase accountability by recording police interaction with the residents, but questions are looming about what happens to the recorded footage and who controls the material. LAPD Police Chief Charlie Beck recently said the footage would not be released to the public and would be available only through criminal and civil court proceedings, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Critics, like the American Civil Liberties Union, argue if this happens it will ensure zero accountability once 7,000 body cameras are deployed and officers know that footage won’t be seen unless it’s showing their side of the story (in criminal cases) or working against them in civil suits. That’s especially the case considering how many civil suits are filed, how often settlements are paid and how often officers are granted a minimum partial immunity in civil cases, the ACLU said.

Gillian MacBeth-Louthan – Teachers Of Light – 23 December 2014

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWe are Teachers of Light and have existed for uncountable years. We herald from beyond what you know as your heavens and have taken form so we could hold these truths and wisdom’s solid until the day we could finally speak.  Long we have waited for a voice, a touch, and an appreciation of our form.  Just to be acknowledged has sent a multitude of light transmissions, telling those within our universe we have awakened.

Your world has been experimental from the beginning.  It has housed many species on many dimensions and inclusions of light. They come from beyond the stars looking to hold a new form to learn more about themselves and what they perceive as Source.  We are such beings that chose to stay and assist the people of earth to be birthed into more awareness and then courage to use that awareness as a tool of light.  Continue reading
