Hamas And Fatah Agree Unity Govt Control Of Gaza – 25 September 2014

RT logoHamas and Fatah have reached an agreement for the Palestinian unity government to take control of the Gaza Strip under the stewardship of President Mahmoud Abbas. The understanding came after two days of talks in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

The deal between the two leading Palestinian parties was confirmed by senior Hamas official Mousa Abu Marzouk and Fatah’s head of delegation, Azam al-Ahmad, on Thursday. The unity government will take over civil administration in Gaza from Hamas, which has controlled the enclave since 2007.

The Palestinian national unity government was set up in June, but it had previously never been fully implemented following a dispute between Fatah and Hamas over the Palestinian Authority’s non-payment of salaries to Gaza’s public sector workers. However, those disputes and disagreements have now been laid to rest.

Anti-ISIS Military Campaign ‘Could |Go On For Years’ – UK Defence Secretary – 25 September 2014

RT logoBritain’s armed forces will be involved in Iraq for the “long haul” of at least three or four years to defeat Islamic State fighters, the UK defence secretary has said.

While the UK is on the eve of a parliamentary vote on Friday on joining US-led air strikes against IS, Defence Secretary Michael Fallon said that Britain has a “very direct interest” in battling IS to stop terrorist attacks on British soil.

His comments came as Prime Minister David Cameron was holding a special War Cabinet on Thursday afternoon to brief ministers on an airstrike campaign against Islamist fighters in northern Iraq.

Five days after being fired from the South Carolina Highway Patrol for shooting an unarmed man several times during a traffic stop, former cop Sean Groubert was arrested in the city of Columbia on Wednesday and charged with a felony.

Groubert, 31, now faces two decades in prison if he’s found guilty of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature; he was released from custody late Wednesday on $75,000 bond, but not before the public was provided with dash-cam footage from the Sept. 4 shooting that sent Levar Jones to an area hospital.

The three-minute-long video recording — first played at Wednesday’s bond hearing and then published online by The State newspaper — shows Groubert trailing a pickup truck earlier this month in his cruiser for a few seconds before he initiates a traffic stop over a supposed seat belt violation and pulls up behind the vehicle at a local gas station.

laura-of-the-rocksI love this — and the concept can be applied not just to traffic lights but to all the circumstances, events and changes we keep wanting to rush through because waiting — even for perfect timing — feels uncomfortable. As the pixies say, “When in doubt, dance!”

Lisa Gawlas – Have You Let It All Go And Untangled From The Past?? – 25 September 2014

lisagawlas2Man oh man, when spirit said the blow back of what you do or do not do returns faster than ever before, they weren’t shitting.  The day before the equinox, my team, which I heard loud and clear, suggested I take my contact out before I go to sleep that night.  Now, considering the first reading of that day said we will be plugged into the equinox energy as we go to sleep that night, should have been enough for me to be compliant.  Anytime we have a major energy influx and I have my contact in, my eye (I only wear one at a time for monovision) it becomes irritated as all hell because the energy gets trapped under the contact instead of allowed to flow thru the eye.  I thought about their suggestion for a minute, then declined.  What the hell was I thinking??  Like my team comes thru the veil and suggests anything just to hear themselves talk! Russia Asset Freeze Threat Sends DAX Reeling – 25 September 2014

ZeroHedgeGermany’s DAX is tumbling this morning (and back in the red for 2014) as The Moscow Times reports Russian courts could get the green light to seize foreign assets on Russian territory under a draft law intended as a response to Western sanctions over the Ukraine crisis. Whether this is retaliation at Italian tax police seizing €30m in assets, including a luxury hotel in Rome and two villas in Sardinia, controlled by Arkady Rotenberg, is unclear, but the timing is highly coincidental and Rotenberg has been a longtime ally of Russian president Vladimir Putin.
