Contrary to often well-disguised appearances, the ego of the Play Divine
never honors the Mirror (role-finished I AM Entities who constitute the True Universal Self of all upon the Play Stage of Theatre Earth). The ego must always be “right” in its own minds eye so long as it survives. And contrary to its occasional boast of humility, such invariably sees itself as other than, different from, and superior to all things and beings inclusive of the Natural Divine Energies that surround it in many forms.

According to an ECB-leaked spreadsheet (now confirmed), the impotent omnipotent central bank bought a mere EUR1.7 billion of covered bonds last week (which was largely expected) according to Bloomberg. This somewhat inglorious start to the ECB’s efforts to engorge its balance by another trillion or so is supported by precedent as it has been the sovereign purchase programs that made the big difference in the past. Under pressure to “front-load the purchases” as one analyst notes, the results from last week suggest, as we have warned, there simply is not enough quality unencumbered assets lying around in Europe to make a dent in the ECB’s efforts to greatly rotate taxpayer-backed free money on to bank balance sheets.

The Tragedy Of Afghanistan: UK Troops Withdraw, What’s Left Behind? – 27 October 2014

As British military forces finally leave Afghanistan after 13 years of conflict, which left 453 British troops dead and 3,000 wounded, the curtain comes down on one of the most futile, incompetent, and inglorious conflicts fought in recent history.

The balance sheet shows that far from helping the transition of Afghanistan from backward state plagued by violence and warlordism into a beacon of liberty and democracy, the British and US military presence failed to prevent it being labelled one of the three most corrupt countries in the world in 2013, along with North Korea and Somalia. It also failed to stem the upsurge in heroin production, which has risen to the point where three quarters of the entire world’s production of the drug now takes place in Afghanistan.

The common depiction of Afghanistan in the West is of a barbarous, primitive and backward country, irredeemably corrupt with a largely illiterate population. It was this characterization which allowed the Afghan people to be so easily dehumanized as part of the process of gaining the support and acquiescence of public opinion in the West for the war that was unleashed against them in the wake of 9/11.

2MN UK Homes In Fuel Poverty, Energy Rights Bill Launched – 27 October 2014

On Monday the House of Commons will launch the Energy Bill of Rights, advocating both fair pricing and sustainable energy sources. The campaign, pioneered by Fuel Poverty Action, aims to make energy “fairer, affordable” and “sustainable”.

The Annual Fuel Poverty report by the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) suggests the inability to afford energy bills killed 10,000 Britons in 2013. It also found over 2million UK households are living in fuel poverty. This accounts for 10.4 percent of the population.

While the figures for 2014 constitute a reduction of almost 5 percent since 2011, fuel poverty still affects 30 percent of unemployed households.

Between October 13 and this Sunday October 26, more than 18,000 police officers were deployed all across Europe in an operation cryptically labeled “Mos Maiorum” which translates into “according to our forefathers’ custom.”

The operation initiated by the Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union sought to record migration movements in the hope to crack down on human trafficking and smuggling rings operating within the EU’s borders.

In reality the police action amounted to nothing less than a racial profiling exercise on an unprecedented scale. Migrants and refugees without valid papers or residence permits were detained and faced blanket criminalization. Ironically, even FRONTEX distanced itself from this operation.

Qatari Intelligence Chief Spurns ISIS Funding Allegations – 27 October 2014

Senior Qatari officials have refuted allegations the country is financially backing Islamic State militants in Syria. But the UK government faces pressure to push the Gulf state’s Emir to take tougher action against jihadi financiers.

Prime Minister David Cameron is set to host Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and several senior Qatari officials in Downing Street for lunch this week. During the meeting, the PM will broker discussions to draw billions of pounds of foreign investment to British shores.

The Emir’s visit comes amid growing international concern over alleged Qatari funding of Islamic State and Al-Qaeda. While Qatari officials strongly deny allegations the state is financing or supporting terrorists in Syria, they told the BBC they are working in tandem with Western and Arab intelligence services to support moderate militants in the region.
