Key US Role In Ukraine Crisis Portrays Europe As ‘Passive Participant’ – 3 February 2015

RT logoPresident Obama’s declaration that the US “brokered a deal to transition power in Ukraine” shows Europe as a passive actor and doesn’t reflect well on its image, Chairman of Russia’s upper house Committee for Foreign Affairs Konstantin Kosachev told RT.

RT: Why is the current situation with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) so insulting to Russia?

Konstantin Kosachev: Well, we believe that the assembly was created several decades ago in order to maintain and promote inter-parliamentary dialogue. This is a place where people with different opinions meet together, exchange their views, which do not always coincide, and make certain conclusions.

If accepted in its current form, the president’s budget plan for the financial year 2015 will implement two separate tax hikes aimed at US-based businesses and put in place new measures intended to discourage US citizens from skipping out on payments.

RT logoThe US made an exception for Bowe Bergdahl, swapping him for five Gitmo prisoners as the Pentagon could not afford to have him in captivity forever, former US marine Ross Caputi told RT.But the military did not want Bergdahl to speak, either.

Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl was captured by the Taliban-aligned Haqqani network in eastern Afghanistan in 2009. It is the army of liars, backstabbers, fools and bullies.” Now the US government wants to charge Bergdahl with desertion.
