Aisha North – The Manuscript Of Survival – Part 418 – 5 June 2014

AishaNorthYou have by now surpassed any and all of your predecessors, dear ones, as you have indeed accomplished a feat few would have thought possible. For if it were not for you, none of the imminent changes that are about to start to unfold would be coming about, at least, not in the manner and at the speed that they will be appearing at now. For as you anchored yourself fully into this integrated new level of merged energy, you automatically opened up a new and much faster lane if you will for these energetically charged particles, these small but ever so powerful harbingers of change, and now, you stand before a veritable smorgasbord of opportunities. For you have come to the shores of the sea of potential, and now there is nothing stopping you from taking the plunge and immersing yourselves completely in what lies before you. Continue reading

‘Obama Defending Legitimacy Of Ukraine’s Election Signals The Bankruptcy Of US Foreign Policy’ – 5 June 2014

RT logoWashington needs to continue the Ukrainian conflict within the context of democracy because that is the only way the Obama Administration can sell this unmitigated disaster in Ukraine to the American people, geopolitical analyst Eric Draitser told RT.

RT:President Barack Obama has recently met with Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko. Why do you think Petro Poroshenko has received such high praise from the American leader?

Eric Draitser: Of course I don’t agree, but what primarily I don’t agree with is the fact that the Ukrainian people actually made this choice. This is simply a rhetorical flourish from the US President because he and his administration, his team, understand very well that many millions of people in Ukraine did not even participate in the vote, certainly not in the eastern regions where voter turnout was dismally low. Poroshenko didn’t even retain the support of many in the so-called base of the Maidan, in the west and regions around Kiev. So what Obama is attempting to do is to provide legitimacy to this new so-called president in Ukraine by appearing with him, by making these very positive statements about him in preparation for what is undoubtedly going to be a very serious questioning of US policy in Ukraine as they stand behind a regime that is committing undoubtedly to war crimes in the east of the country. And this is really an important point that people need to stress. This is a collective punishment of the civilian population in the east of Ukraine, and Poroshenko and his administration is initiating that and of course the US Administration is standing by his side.

US Laws Force VTB To Cease Serving American Clients – 5 June 2014

RT logoVTB Group, Russia’s second-biggest lender, has decided to gradually cease servicing its 2,000 US clients. From July 1 a failure to correctly report to authorities will cost foreign lenders up to $50,000.

VTB has registered with the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to comply with the FATCA and is ready to operate in accordance with it on its own. To minimize the risks VTB has ordered its US branches to gradually stop providing services to American taxpayers. This refers to households and corporate bodies,” a VTB spokesman told Izvestia.

Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FACTA) is a law which requires foreign financial institutions to report to the IRS about their US clients, whether it is household and corporate body. The law comes into force on July 1, while the registration of foreign banks in US tax authorities ended on May 5.

Mish/ Mike Shedlock – Divorce Made In Heaven; Cameron Makes Fool Out Of Himself Over Juncker – 5 June 2014

MishMikeShedlockTo the delight of eurosceptics, UK prime minister David Cameron backed himself into a corner with no way out.

His campaign to deny Jean-Claude Juncker the European Commission presidency even though Juncker receives the most votes was doomed from the start.

On May 28, in a surprising move, German chancellor Angela Merkel made a statement that opened the door for other candidates. No doubt Cameron was pleased. That pleasure didn’t last long.

Following a firestorm of German protests including charges that Merkel gave in to UK blackmail, she changed her colors as quickly as the best chameleon on the planet. Continue reading

‘The Americans Have A Government That Is Actively Denying Their Liberties’ – 5 June 2014

RT logoUS society lives in a time when neither the 4th amendment, nor the 1st amendment means anything to the government anymore, Constitutional Attorney and Author KrisAnne Hall said in RT’s In the NOW show.

On June 2 the Supreme Court rejected a bid by New York Times reporter James Risen not to testify at the trial of former CIA officer Jeffrey Sterling who is accused of disclosing classified information. Risen argued that he has a right to protect his sources’ identity, either under the Constitution or rules governing criminal trials. The Supreme Court appeal came amid a debate over where to draw the line between national security and journalism freedom.

RT: The Supreme Court offered no explanation and only refused to overturn the lower court’s decision that Risen should testify against his source. Will he now have to give in or go to prison after years of fighting?

Such an opportunity will emerge between Russia and the DPRK [Democratic People’s Republic of Korea] – the first accounts have already been opened at Russian banks,” said Galushka after a meeting between the two countries’ intergovernmental commission.
