Civil liberties advocates, organizations and whistleblowers have sent a letter to Congress urging members to oppose the NSA “reform” bill known as the USA FREEDOM Act (S. 2685), recently introduced by Senator Leahy. In a letter earlier this month, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and Attorney General Eric Holder endorsed the surveillance reform bill, a telling sign that it’s nothing but bad news.
