Laura Bruno – Miraculous Recovery – 28 April 2015

laura-of-the-rockslaurabruno:

As someone who made an “impossible” recovery from a head injury, I can personally attest that miracles do happen. I was just telling someone today that brain injuries are like “being rewired.” Live the magical life and you won’t miss the one you left behind. Much healing and love to Patrick, Jessica and to Colette for sharing their story!

Laura Bruno – Sacred Sexual Alchemy – The Root Of Creative Magick – 27 April 2015

laura-of-the-rockslaurabruno:

Thank you, Tania. This has been on my mind and heart, as well, not only from the music industry, but also from so-called spiritual people advising complete shut-off of all lower chakras and a rejection of natural sensuality, sexuality, embodied pleasure and even matter itself as being completely dirty, wrong and evil. Something beautiful and powerful has been suppressed and abused for so long that people have — by design — forgotten the original alchemical dance between spirit and matter. This is a much bigger topic and on many levels, but thank you for sharing your and Charlotte Szivak’s thoughts and feelings as part of a much needed collective reclamation process. Continue reading

Laura Bruno – Converting Lawns To Gardens: Nature’s Harvest Permaculture Urban Farm – 25 April 2015

laura-of-the-rockslaurabruno:

In case it’s not obvious: I completely agree with everything shared in this post. Transform our lawns, transform ourselves, transform our communities. I experience this daily, as I’m out front, meeting neighbors walking their dogs, talking with the next door neighbors as I plant, mulch or weed, having micro-visits with David’s dad as he stops by on his errand runs.

Front yard gardens definitely start conversations, and yes, they are contagious. I know more and more people planting fruit trees and tearing up their lawns. OK, so maybe I called a bunch of people when I saw non-GMO fruit trees on sale at Tractor Supply Co. Maybe I emailed our Transition Goshen team. In any case, a little bit of encouragement and some bold plantings do change everything, season by season. Continue reading

Laura Bruno – Even Kafka Couldn’t Make Up This Stuff, But We Can End It – 24 April 2015

laura-of-the-rocksI have been following this story for awhile, and as ridiculous and beyond Kafka-esque as it appears, this is actually happening in nearby Michigan. Any precedents set by this case will be used for all sorts of nefarious purposes, so please, send your Reiki, work your magic, revoke your consent to this con, use your phones and email … whatever you can, please do. Honestly, if this happened in any other country, the US would already be bombing, er, “liberating” them. Time to liberate ourselves and each other with more effective and life honoring methods. Laura Bruno – Trillium And Other Garden Updates – 23 April 2015

laura-of-the-rocksIt’s snowing in Goshen, so what better day for a Spring Garden Update?! I’m most excited to report that the trillium some friends and I rescued from a woodland turned GMO corn/soy farm are doing well in their new home. They returned, along with the beginnings of some rescued trout lily, Jack in the pulpit and what looks to be Dutchmen’s breeches. The trillium came up first: ….

Laura Bruno – Deconstructing Bully Culture: Shaming Class And Poverty, And Those Who Stand – 20 April 2015

laura-of-the-rockslaurabruno:

Going along with the recent themes of money, abundance, sharing, and courageously, unapologetically creating and living into a new paradigm, Jamie sheds light in even more of the complex nooks and crannies, including the ways we — as individuals and as a culture — often internalize and even perpetuate the shaming and attacks on what Jamie calls “those who stand.” In a world that tells us only to value certain things in certain ways — and to treat humans (and the material realm, including our planet) like trash, the greatest potential for liberation and change comes from recognizing the manipulative, disempowering messages for what they are and then, consciously, choosing to break free and chart new territory. Laura Bruno – Tipping The Value Scales Within Our Current Monetary Framework ~ This Shift Has Hit The Fan – 18 April 2015

laura-of-the-rockslaurabruno:

Tania’s right. This is so on the radar right now, not just because of tax season, but because things really are shifting. How we make money and what we choose to spend it upon have begun to shift in key segments of society. The dreamers, the intuitives, the artists, the gardeners are beginning to tip the scales away from the old rat race. No longer can people tell themselves “No one can do this,” because people are — many of us. No longer can people say, “The game is completely fixed. I can’t make a difference,” because people ARE making a difference — in beauty, in authenticity, and in each others lives. Continue reading
