It’s very important to keep our fire lit right now, and the alternative could be the unrelenting sadness that vies for our attention. It doesn’t take much to inspire ourselves, and all we need to do is look around at our world’s current situation to be motivated enough to want to contribute.

There’s so much we can do, but we’re the only ones who can make ourselves do it all. If we’re motivated enough, we can accomplish a lot of revolutionary things in our short time on earth. Or, we can wallow in the pits of despair, depression or general laziness.

WakingTimes – Billboard Transformed Into A Potable Water Generator – 24 January 2015

Video – A billboard that produces potable (drinkable) water? Yes, the University of Engineering and Technology in Peru designed a potable water generator that produces water from the humidity in the air. This billboard requires a solid on-the-grid connection to perform its primary function. It works in the desert, even in a climate with up to 90% humidity, and produces about 100 liters a day. UTEC claims they are cheap to install, at about $1200 to set up.

What is interesting is the method the University chose to finance the project. You could set up a system like this anywhere, but rarely would the free water pay for its own creation. Attaching it to a billboard has added a revenue stream to the project, which can pay for set up and maintenance. The University saw an increase in advertising interest after the first water billboard was produced, which will hopefully fund more clean water for local Peruvians. Not bad for what started out as a demonstration of the school’s engineering program.

These Quests began in 2011.  They began with about 8 of us I think (1/2 of which were family) and at one point there were 5,000 of us joining the journey!  Then, Face Book decided that couldn’t happen.  The Quests continued though, from a blog that was started in order to do so, at: www.sophialove.org.  Lots of things have changed since then except for one – our search for palpable, non-stop unconditional love.  I’ve been told that humans are the most exciting beings to incarnate as, because of our extreme emotions.  We fill up our hearts to overflowing and then break them with a passion and enthusiasm unmatched in the cosmos. We are unique and incredible.In other Quests there’s been a conclusion, a discovery, a settling at least.  Not so this time.  The energy of 2015 has brought me to a deep examining of us.  What is our perpetual insistence on reaching for something beyond ourselves for fulfillment or answers?
