I’m going to be out with family this morning (Wednesday, December 4), but I wanted to give a quick post in place of the usual writing I would’ve given today.

The greatest lesson I’m learning lately is the importance of remaining in the sacred heart space and reaping the incredible benefits it can offer. It’s easy to let the difficulty of this reality bring us under, but when finding and re-accessing the heart space and cultivating the resulting center, we can view everything playing out from a detached and loving place.

December is a moderately active month, highlighted by two planetary stations and the Winter Solstice. While the first half of the month is fairly peaceful, the second half features a dynamic cardinal t-square pattern between Mars, Uranus and Pluto that will likely set off significant personal and planetary changes.

On December 2, the New Moon occurs at 11 Sagittarius.  A Sagittarius lunation provides us with a broader perspective, as we examine our higher knowledge, belief systems and visions to determine how well our daily life reflects them. This is a good month to practice being open-minded, truth-seeking and optimistic.  The shadow side is being judgmental and overindulgent. Chiron closely aspects this New Moon, which allows us to take a closer look at victim and codependency patterns in relationships, as well as where we need to have more compassion and forgiveness. There is also a harmonious trine to Uranus, which opens us to new creative insights. The Sabian symbol for this degree, “In the left section of an archaic temple, a lamp burns in a container shaped like a human body,” reminds us to balance intellectual concepts with trusting the wisdom of the body.

Australia To ‘Abolish Phony Debt Ceiling’, Continue Spending-Spree – 4 December 2013

Australia will dive further ‘Down Under’ into debt, as lawmakers reached a deal to do away with a limit. The government can now borrow as much as it wants, and will avoid a shutdown when it reaches the AU$300 billion debt limit on December 12.

Federal Treasurer Joe Hockey won over the Greens who had previously supported the Labor Party cap of AU$400 billion (about $373 billion). Earlier, the upper house blocked a motion to raise the debt ceiling to AU$500 billion.

The government must justify any increase in debt up to AU$50 billion Greens leader Christina Milne told reporters in Canberra.

“This, I think, will return some maturity to the debate around debt and get rid of what has become a phony debate every time the government has wanted to raise the debt ceiling,” Milne said Wednesday.
