UK To Force Telecom Firms To Spy On British Citizens – 7 July 2014

RT logoThe UK government is set to pass emergency laws requiring phone companies to hold detailed records of all phone calls, texts and internet usage for up to 12 months.

Under the new legislation, companies would be allowed to access more data than ever before, including records of every website their customers visit, as well as the identities of people they contacted by phone.

The new laws, which are expected to be supported by both the opposition Labour party and the Tories’ Liberal Democrat coalition partners in government, come following US warnings of a terrorist attack in the West, which has resulted in UK airports drastically tightening up their security.

Law Enforcement Agencies Fight Over Who’s To Blame For Bundy Ranch Standoff – 7 July 2014

RT logoThe local sheriff and federal officials alike both agree that Cliven Bundy, the Nevada cattle rancher who made headlines earlier this year for a standoff near his Clark County home, should face charges over the incident.

On Thursday, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie said Bundy should be held accountable for encouraging supporters to take up arms and fortify his property earlier this year when the United States Bureau of Land Management attempted to confiscate dozens of head of cattle belonging to the rancher. This week, BLM officials said they happen to agree with Gillespie’s stance.

Speaking to the Associated Press, BLM spokeswoman Celia Boddington said in a statement released Saturday that her agency is continuing to pursue the matter “aggressively through the legal system.”

Families Of Murdered Israeli And Palestine Teens Console Each Other – 7 July 2014

RT logoThe families of murdered Israeli teen Naftali Fraenkel and the murdered 16 year-old Palestinian, Mohammad Abu Khdeir, who was killed on Wednesday, have been drawing comfort from an unexpected source – each other.

The Mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat, wrote on Facebook about his “emotional and special telephone conversation between two families that have lost their sons.” He went on to add that he had visited the Fraenkal family home, while he also took the opportunity to speak to Hussein Abu Khdeir, who is Mohammad’s father. He expressed his pain at the “barbaric” murder of his son, the Jewish Daily Forward reports.

Barkat suggested to Abu Khdeir that he should contact Yishai Fraenkel, who is the uncle of Naftali Fraenkel. The uncle spoke to the press recently, saying, “The life on an Arab is equally precious to that of a Jew. Blood is blood and murder is murder, whether that murder is Jewish or Arab.” The two took the advice of the mayor, and consoled one another by telephone.

Jon Rappoport – What Artists Reveal Down Trough Time – 7 July 2014

jon7“You can build an unlimited number of harmonies and achieve what most people think of as perfection. But then what? You face a dead-end. So you have to keep making harmonies, over and over, and pretend you aren’t bored. This process is hypnotic and it drains away energy. You may seem to be imitating Nature’s symmetries, but suppose Nature is becoming bored, too? Suppose souls have other impulses which, if exercised, reveal forces and creations that have no names, which we loosely call Art? Suppose we are all artists waiting for something to happen—and nothing will happen, until we put brush to canvas and liberate and invent the deepest aspect of ourselves?” (The Underground, Jon Rappoport) Continue reading
