According to EU energy commissioner Guenther Oettinger, the sides have agreed to hold two more rounds of consultations, in two and four weeks. During their next meeting in mid-May, the sides will focus on gas prices for Ukraine, Oettinger told journalists on Friday.

US, EU’s support Of Kiev’s Tactics Blocks Peaceful Resolution Of Ukraine Crisis – Russia – 2 May 2014

RT logoThe West has cut all paths to a peaceful solution of the Ukrainian crisis by supporting the Kiev authorities and their violent crackdown on protests in the eastern part of the country, Russia’s envoy Vitaly Churkin told the UN Security Council.

Catastrophic consequences are inevitable if Kiev authorities do not stop their “criminal venture,” Churkin stressed at the emergency UNSC meeting summoned by Moscow on Friday.

He pointed out that Kiev has flagrantly violated its obligations that were established under the Geneva agreement on April 17. The “punitive measures” carried out by the government are evidence of Kiev’s inability and unwillingness to fulfill these obligations, he added.

Humanity vs Insanity: The Fight Back!
Time flies, and by May 2014 it will have been over four years since the last Alternative View conference. From 2008 to 2010, four ‘AV’ gatherings gave those assembled a look ‘over the fence’ at the reality which surrounds the bubble of propaganda and misinformation, which confronts us all on a day-to-day basis. The events were weekends away, a chance to swap information with like-minded people, to network, to form alliances, and were not just a series of lectures.

And so many years later, all those wise words, which seemed fantastical at the time, have become part of the awakened consciousness of those who have chosen to look beyond what we are told in the mainstream media.

ZeroHedge – Obama Assisted By Merkel In Explaining The Russian “Costs” – Live Webcast – 2 May 2014

ZeroHedgeTwo months after Obama first mentioned the “costs” to Putin should he continue to do what the Russian leader has been doing for, well, the past two months, namely copycatting how the US would act if in the exact same situation, Obama today will be assisted by Germany’s Angela Merkel on her first visit to D.C. in three years, to further reinforce the US deterrence idea of “costs” (perhaps to Germany in the form of a third of its gas imports being cut off?), just in case Obama alone can’t handle Putin. Somehow we doubt Russia will pay much attention – after all it has been revealed time and again that Russia has all the trump cards.
