Finding your way through the perplexities and challenges of life which are further embellished by great downloads of energies from the celestial realms can make life experience interesting but most worthwhile and this is when most new revelations come into view and writing these down is very helpful to record for later perusal and contemplation.

Israel Destroys Aid Projects In West Bank To Make Room For Settlements – 13 April 2014

Israel has gone ahead and destroyed several EU-funded humanitarian projects in a settlement zone in the West Bank, despite diplomatic threats and repeated calls to desist, it has been revealed by EurActiv.

There are concerns not only that this is against international law, but that disrupting the area’s territorial coherence could seriously undermine any prospect of peace with the Palestinians.

The E1 corridor, as it’s called, contains an area known as Ras-a-Baba (or Jabal-al-Baba), overlooking Jerusalem. It has been a target of the Netanyahu government ever since 2012. The three projects destroyed will be joining whole scores of other EU-funded structures that Israel has destroyed, without regard for international law, as Europe believes, calling the area “a red line”, a report by EurActiv, an EU policy news and discussion portal, has revealed.

Pressure Mounts On UK Over CIA’s ‘Black Site’ Jail In Indian Ocean – 13 April 2014

A human rights group is urging Britain’s Foreign office to “come clean” over claims that a British-administered island in the Indian Ocean, Diego Garcia, was used as a secret “black site” detention center by the CIA.

“We need to know immediately whether ministers misled parliament over CIA torture on British soil,” Cori Crider, strategic director at Reprieve, a legal action charity group, said in a letter to UK Foreign Secretary William Hague.

“If the CIA operated a black site on Diego Garcia, then a string of official statements, from both this and the last government, were totally false,” Crider said.

Deadly Fires In Chile Kill 11, Leave 3,000 People Homeless – 13 April 2014

A wildfire in Chile has destroyed over 500 homes in six hours and continues to sweep the area, with strong winds fanning the flames. A state of emergency has been declared by the country’s president in an effort to help the army battle the fires.

At least 11 people have been killed in the fire that swept more than 2.5 million square meters (660 acres), according to police official Colonel Fernando Bywaters who spoke to Radio Cooperativa.

We have been on alert for the last few weeks as the financial markets are faltering. Not necessarily on the surface, as new all-time highs were put on the board in the past few weeks, but the wood is starting to show through the paint. It is not a feeling we are used to, as we have been positive on stocks in general since late 2010 due to the monetary inflation.
